of course that's why it's called "a noise severe" (as opposed to the quiet perfection of "a sound relief")

I do think that the crowd noise is a little much at times... once it starts to drown out the instruments. On the other hand, it does give the recordings more energy. This was probably meant to be the opposite of Sleepy Buildings.... it depends on what you're in the mood for.

Some albums are way to low in the charts cuz of mistagging. It's How to Measure a Planet? (disc 1) * How To Measure A Planet (Disc 2) * If_then_else * Always... * Sleepy Buildings - A Semi Acoustic Evening * A Noise Severe (Disc 1) * A Noise Severe (Disc 2). Some others might be up for discussion (Accessories, Downfall). But get those others higher up the charts! ;-) namasté

Yeah, I love the crowd too, and Anneke's voice was so powerful on this concert. Ok, her voice is always brilliant. :) This is the best live album ever! :)

Nah, the crowd noise is fine I think. It adds another dimension to the music you couldn't get with a studio recording.

Much like its counterpart A Sound Relief, the DVD version is a very good live recording, although the quality is not quite as sharp as the one of A Sound Relief. I was a little afraid how it would turn out with the recent calm in their music, but the songs indeed do rock when they should. The audience in Chile both in equal contributes to and destroys the atmosphere. Some songs are drowned out by shouting. It depends on whether you put priority on authenticity or the songs themselves.

The solo on Leaves sounds here sooooo amazing. Rene is a wizard!

Grr good tracklist, but not in the proper order =/. Great live anyway, Anneke is simply awesome in there. The perfect way for her to leave The Gathering. Elegant and amazing.

What a great live cd, but sadly the last with Anneke on vocals. I think it is a good way to close this chapter.
