The page is being all mucked up by a similarly named band that refers to themselves as a "second-rate Godsmack" now, awesome. It would be really cool if could separate bands with similar/the same names a bit better...

I worked with Tim McVay briefly about 10 years ago. Very nice bloke. More cheerful at 7am than I ever was.

people dont know what to listen to from this band.... tom verlaine (and most of the top tracks here) sucks next to: endless cigarette, gabriel's wings, fire music--to name a few. still some good ones in there "colour me grey" "game show" "prog one" "furthest from the sun" anyway, maybe im crazy, but dont trust magic happens to be their far and away best (i feel the opposite to be the case). instead, tell em we're surfin and furthest from the sun. just a huge fan... maybe i'm on to somethin maybe not

i'm typing this from memory, but I used to have a red t-shirt with luminous writing. It said something like 'you have to be a real square not to dig the nutty noisy family cat' !!!!!!

Maybe a little late, but they're obviously cool enough for the NME now.. just heard Tom Verlaine on NME radio.

By far and away the most under-rated British band of their time. Saw them more times than was healthy - although sixteen is clearly bonkers, Eightholedocs - and they never once let me down. Which is more than can be said for a lot of other bands, both before and since. Miles "Size Of A Cow" Hunt, I'm looking at you...

Three of them were from Cornwall, one from Devon and the lead singer was from Southampton, hence the Saints references in Steamroller. "And The Saints were playing at home today"

saw the cat a massive 16 times. they were fantastic - unfortunately they just werent cool enough for the then relevant NME and therefore never went huge. nice bunch of blokes as well.

It's true All other bands are dogshite! Don't get that stuff about the Madchester desk though. They weren't baggy in the slightest and came from Cornwall, as far as I can remember
