o CMU originally launched in May 1998, so this month celebrates its tenth birthday, and a decade of discovering, championing and supporting great new music.
o The June 2008 edition of the Social will be CMU’s official tenth birthday party, so this month is going to be extra special.

ONE: THE CMU POP QUIZ
o Companies from across the music industry battle it out to answers a bunch of tricky trivia questions, based on CMU news stories of the last month, and the last ten years.
o The highest scoring company win a crate of beer plus the title of CMU Pop Quiz Champions.
TWO: CMU INTRODUCING – RESTLESSLIST
o Every month Team CMU introduce another fine up and coming band.
o This month we have Brighton-based
RestLessList. Featuring members of
Electric Soft Parade and
Brakes, their infectious instrumentals are just the right mix of beats and bite.
THREE: MAIN EVENT – TOTALLY SECRET GIG
o This month’s main event is something special – but it’s top secret, shhh, don’t tell anyone.
o Just know this – one of CMU’s very favourite bands will be playing a special set, and previewing some of their new material.
o These guys are one of Britian’s finest live bands, this intimate set in 229 is not to be missed.
