A banda é formada pelo projecto e conceito do guitarrista (e ocasionalmente vocalista e pianista) Vini Reilly que é acompanhado pelo percussionista Bruce Mitchell, entre outros.

The Beyond the Loop gig at Kings Place is certainly the best concert I've ever been to. Redefinition of music in 90min. Oh, and the new album is a bomb ready to explode on everything Vini ever did.

Ok. So I was off by one year. I was going entirely by memory 30 years ago. I got their first record in '78 or '79. http://zzzone.net Despite that major correction, DC is still my favorite group.

Tehpaco, some of the "Mercy" themes that pop up on Amigos em Portugal were developed for a proposed album that was shelved for years (eventually released on the Lips That Would Kiss compilation); the material found its final form on Without Mercy and companion EP Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say ("A Little Mercy").

for me some of the key highlights, if i were forced to name a few, in chronological order: Without Mercy, Domo Arigato, Vini Reilly, Sex and Death, Fidelity, Someone Else's Party, and the latest one Love in the Time of Recession. That'll give you a great span of his career from 84 to 09. My favorite 00's album is Someone Else's Party and my favorite 80's one may well be Without Mercy. The opening 2track title suite just destroys.
