I wonder if Coppola had this in mind before he shot the opening scenes to Apocalypse Now or was it just a piece of music that fits like a glove. I only have to hear the song and that opening scene with the helicopters and the napalm plays in my head. Over 40 years old and still captivating.

I Like the doors but this song is soooooooo overhyped, the first 3 minutes are good and the main riff/theme is fantastic but then it gets really tiring and most of Morrison's delivery are so boring, and the lyrics are just crap, I was so self-pleased when I saw this in blender's list of 50 worst songs ever LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
