I can't help but cry during this song. "and with this long last rush of air, we'll speak our vows and starry whispers, and when the waves crashing down, he closed his eyes and softly kissed her.." Those lines always make my stomach clench up and my heart just weep. Seriously. This entire album gives me goosebumps. The pedal steel... Mmmm. This song left me in shambles after seeing them live. Luckily they lifted my mood with Chimbly Sweept. =]

I saw them last night in Hollywood. They played the entire album straight through. It was the most amazing show I've ever seen. The to top it off they came out and played another set of the usual suspects, but I have to say that the Hazards of Love was so completely satisfying that I would have been ok if the show had ended right there with "The Drowned".
