Bem ,tentar rotular o ATD-I é algo complicado,pois o som deles nunca foi muito facil de comprender talvez mais puxado para o hardcore, eles foram uma das bandas mais insanas a pisar na face da terra, musicas rapidas,vocais esguelados,algo totalmente insano e libertador somado a perfomance incendiarias ao vivo tornou o ATD-I uma daquelas bandas que ja nascem clássicas e meio a guitarras rasgadas e gritaria sempre é possivel encontrar intervenções de percurssões,teclados e alguns intrumentos inusitados a banda encerrou suas atividades se dividindo em mais duas outras bandas : the mars volta e sparta igualmente boas mas nunca chegaram ao pés do que foi o At the Drive-in

Idlewild:

Bem Idlewild é uma banda escocesa que em seu primeiros albuns tinha um som que remetia e muito a bandas como Black Flag,Fugazi,nirvana entre outras, mas com o tempo a banda começou a pegar muitas influências de bandas como Sonic Youth,Echo and the bunnymen e the smiths e começou a deixar a banda com um pouco mais de melodia com momentos acusticos,refrões grudentos e algumas músicas com pegadas bem enérgicas,banda altamente recomendada para fãs de britpop e fãs da fase mais recente do pearl jam.

Bem Acho que agora as coisas vão começar a ficar mais sequeladas o TSOAF é um projeto de uma mega banda que acho que o som fica mais parecido com o que podemos chamar de new prog,reunindo mais ou menos 12 a 15 integrantes o TSOAF tem como principal caracteristicas o integrantes se escondendo em mascaras e assumindo o nome de animais seu primeiro album "the tiger and the duke" é um album conceitual que reune 5 atos ,o som deles é algo que alterna entre o viajandão e a violência...alguns trechos bem pesados outros mais leves com vocais muito bem trabalhados recomendado para que está afim de ouvir algo diferente.

bem o the bellrays é uma banda que me surpreendeu muito a primeira vez que ouvi recebi algumas recomendações sobre a banda falando e muito sobre a vocalista da banda e realmente the bellrays é uma baita banda, é algo do tipo come se colacassem a aretha franklin para cantar com iggy pop nos stoogies as musicas vão se revezando entre blues,jazz e proto punk, mas o grande destaque vai para vocalista que tem uma baita voz,cantora formada no R&B a vocalista é o toque de doçura em meio a raivosa parte instrumental que por vezes se torna uma bela peça de jazz recomendado para fãs de boas cantoras...

bem não poderia falta aqui uma banda nacional aqui,infelizmente é uma otima banda que decretou o seu fim,bem a maioria das pessoas quando se fala em hardcore no barsil lhe vem a cabeça dead fish mas o NDN foi uma banda tão importante quanto o DF,o NDN foi uma banda que nos primeiros albuns apresentou uma sonoridade de hardcore clássico, com o tempo a banda foi adcionado novos elementos a banda chegou a seu apice no ultimo albúm "sem gelo" onde a banda flertou de uma maneira fantastica com jazz e bossa nova fazendo um cd que pode se colocar na lista de clássicos,instrumental perfeito acompanhando letras muito bem feitas, tendo até uma certa veia poética,uma pena que banda acabou mas ele deixaram um belo legado musicas que valem a pena de serem conhecidas
Musicas Recomendadas : Diploma, orgânico, asprina, antes da enchente, copacabana,ela não sabe ser feliz e suja a roupa mais lava a alma

311 - Uncalm
Nifty little riff starts this one off. Very Bond theme... it's awesome actually. Verse is standard 311 fare, good vocal harmonies though as usual. Double time verse is cool, picks it up a bit. Cool little theremin sound comes in just before the chorus. Good chorus with more good harmonies. This is a killer tune actually, this used to be my favourite 311 album but I think the selftitled just edges it. Ah, 2nd verse, bad lyric syndrome kicking in. Not to worry, it's to be expected. That cool riff comes back after the 2nd chorus and that's it. Nice one!! (8.5/10)

DANGERDOOM - Vats of Urine
Not a huge fan of this album... but listening to this I'm liking the loop, and Doom is awesome as ever. The loop's presumably something from an old TV show. Sounds good, though I find Dangermouse pretty overrated folks!! (7/10)

Rufus Wainwright - The Art Teacher
Piano sounds great, I know this one well. Slightly annoying lyrics, vocals are perfect though! His playing is very cinematic, I heard he's going to be writing an opera, sounds like a pretty good idea to me! Shit-hot high note on about 3:19... he hits all these notes live, I have experienced it first hand! Nice chord to finish off on... crowd noise?? Was that live?? (8/10)

Rollins Band - Liar
Only just got this album so it's new to me. Very chilled out, kinda moody. The sort of thing I can imagine Mike Patton brooding over the top of. Rollins talks. This is pretty sexy. But then I'm in love with Rollins. Whisper into my ear Henry. Oh now it's rockin up... "COS I'M A LIAR" that's cool, nice fat funky riff. This is almost reminiscent of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, I approve! The verses are funky as fuck, it reminds me of way back in the day I downloaded a Mr Bungle mp3 that had the genre tag "porn groove". Quite a stoner riff over the chorus actually. Little monologue at the end, it's very obvious he's gonna get shouty in a minute... told you so. Here we go... "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA SUCKER SUCKER!!" jesus, that was awesome!! No-one holds a candle to HR when it comes to this sort of thing!! (8.5/10)

Do Me Bad Things - Time for Deliverance
I'm pretty sure this was their only hit. I saw them support The Darkness, and I already knew this song from the radio or something like that. Good live band, and awesome chorus, with quality falsetto male and female vocals. The chorus is like a song in itself, it's an epic, it's brilliant. I nicked this CD off of an annoying ex-flatmate and uploaded this song but I think I got rid of the rest. Can't remember why though. I love that sort of mix of gospel style vocals with heavy rock, as most perfectly demonstrated by The BellRays. Someone in the background of the vocals sounds a bit hysterical at the end. Well that was fun. (8/10)

The Hated - Everysong
Sound quality is shit. Sounds like Husker Du. Good vocalist. What is this? Why do I have this? He sounds a bit like the Rites of Spring singer. Hmm, fast songs should be shorter than this. Kind of wanting it to be over now (2:20). One of the earliest emo bands according to lastfm. That's probably why I've got it, my rampant quest to rediscover the days when emo wasn't a dirty word and bands like Braid reigned supreme. This is much earlier than even that though. Hmm, give me Rites of Spring over that any day. (5.5/10)

Abscess - Wormwind
Quality old skool Death Metal riff. Yeah, this is what I'm talkin about! Excellent little solo!! It's raining riffs!! Aaaah, this one... (0:57) a riff that's about as stoner as it gets from a DM band. Truly disgusting harmonised guitar note, fantastic! Another brutal solo. This is one of those songs where it's just one good riff after another. It's a classic!! Solo 3 is the best so far, the drummer ain't gonna quit... until that familiar breakdown... I'm just waiting for that horrible harmony again... there she goes. That's a genius harmony to have in a song like this. I love Abscess. (9/10)

Brian Wilson - Barnyard
Oh, a bit stupid a bit stupid. animal noises :s oh wait, that oooo melody is quite nice. Yeah it's getting better, it's still quite annoying though. The very definition of filler. (4/10)

So Solid Crew - Solid Soul
Tension creating intro oh, it might not be an intro... this could be another filler. Lots of cussing. This sounds like an unfinished idea, it could be good but it needs a beat. It's filler filler filler. Ah well, they can't all be winners. (3.5/10)

Aphex Twin - Goon Gumpas
Oh, this sounds silly too. Plucked strings play an annoying little melody. Nice bassline comes in, it's improving as I type... nice little synth lead, it reminds me of old MIDI songs me and my chums used to make. I would almost put this in the filler category too to be honest. (5/10)

Spiritualized - Electricity
Good tune, like Primal Scream but better. Nice organ sound, creates a good little indie ambience. It could almost be a Happy Mondays song, if it was a bit less serious. His vocals are good. This really is from a bygone era when the majority of British indie was good. Indie seems almost like a swear word these days, like emo and metalcore. All 3 genres are awesome when the right bands are playing them, it's just that the most famous current examples are very much THE WRONG BANDS! (7/10)

Ol' Dirty Bastard - Raw Hide
What a voice, what a man! Good production on this one. ODB is the best example of the importance of personality in rap. He has more character than pretty much any MC there's ever been. Method Man sounds awesome on this tune. He's badass. Makes me want to listen to the original 36 chambers... (7.5/10)

The Get Up Kids - One Year Later
Hmm, I used to listen to this quite a long time ago, it's a good song. I possibly have a bit of a nostalgic connection to it, but it's sounding good so far. I think they teeter on the brink of the new "shit" emo, but I reckons they belong to the old(ish)school. They're young, it's earnest, but it's not annoying. Nice vocal harmonies in the chorus. Drummer goes for it on the final chorus. Yeah, that was good. (7/10)

ZAO - Violet
Sounds like the intro to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. Very Paradise Lost now the melody has come in. T minus 20 seconds til guitars? Perhaps not... geting quite bored of this gothic intro (1:10). Hurry up and scream like a demon already. While this piano plays, I'll speak about Zao's vocalist who is one of my all time favourites. He sounds approximately 25% more evil than his nearest HC rivals. It's often baffled me how the most evil sounding singers are in Christian bands. ZAO, Society's Finest, Extol... Embodyment when they were screamy... fucking hell, it's still that piano. If it's all piano it's getting 1/10, cos it's not even interesting.
AAAH!! At (4:22) I was almost sure the guitars were going to come crashing in, but noooooo back to this boring pish. Oh come on, don't tease me with a heartbeat sound effect... there's still time... No. No. Come on. Now it's just the heartbeat (6:06) but at least the piano's stopped. Congratulations guys, it's a (1/10)

Tragedy - Conflicting Ideas
This is more like it... building up the tension very nicely, cool drumming. A proper back to basics hardcore riff, vocalist has quite a bark on him. (1:51) vocals have changed to an awesome powerviolence ranting style. It's good stuff this, not the smartest music you'll ever hear but it sounds like bohemian rhapsody after that zao disappointment (I should point out that I usually love Zao, but that piano stuff was shite). Oh, they teased a finish but it's back, they're better when they're going hell for leather, although that's more my kind of thing anyway. (7/10)

Crossed Out - He Man
Sounds like it was recorded on one of those Tomy toy recorders with big plastic microphones on curly wires. Reassuringly spastic though, and exactly what you need from the PV genre. Good little sludgy riff and back into the "YUUUGHHUGHGHGUGHGUGHGGUUUGHGHGUYYGUGHGH." Sludgy riff finishes us off. Textbook. (8/10)
