I can't even describe how refreshing it is to hear the "Naked" version of this song. ALWAYS despised the over-produced one.

I probably am just imagining it... but there is a time where Paul sounds like he's either crying or trying not to cry whilst singing. Probably just my imagination though :P

When McCartney first heard the Spector version of the song, he was outraged. Nine days after Spector overdubbed "The Long and Winding Road", McCartney announced that The Beatles were breaking up. On April 14, he sent a sharply worded letter to Apple Records business manager Allen Klein, demanding that the added instrumentation be reduced, the harp part eliminated, and "Don't ever do it again." These requests went unheeded, and the Spector version was included on the album.

This to me is the Swan song of The Beatles. Though they had their differences towards the end, they never failed to create the most beautiful music of the 20th century. Though I'm not old enough to have been around when these tracks were released, each and every Beatles song speaks to me. The Long and Winding Road is no doubt the best song on Let it Be.
