“Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” de John Lennon, sofreu especulação que suas iniciais - LSD - seriam em referência a droga que os Beatles consumiam, ainda que John tenha desmentido isto, alegando que o título aludía a um desenho de seu filho. A psicodélica melodia foi alterada ao extremo que se pensa que cada nota está com uma velocidade superior ou inferior à anterior. Devido a suposta menção às drogas a faixa foi banida pela BBC. Na época John e George Harrison já haviam experimentado LSD, mas em julho de 1967 Paul declarou na imprensa que também havia experimentado a droga. Em 2004, Paul McCartney disse em uma entrevista que “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” realmente era sobre LSD.
