14 dias atrásAn interesting concept but hardly a definitive version of Let It Be. The naked version of Across the Universe might be my favorite, though.

outubro 2010it makes me so mad they released this instead of just releasing Get Back. Especially since the songs would be stripped down just like on this album. To hear the original Get Back album would be amazing, all this did was just fuck with Let It Be, how dare they take out Maggie Mae and Dig It.

outubro 2009In looking at everyone's comments, I think we can all agree that really anyone who knows anything at all about the Beatles and cares enough to compare the two versions will prefer this one. There's really no arguing that point. And, as oneeyedcunt points out, Naked has Don't Let Me Down. End of story.

agosto 2009i think if the Beatles weren't being total cunts the original Let It Be probably would have been this. but they wanted nothing to do with the production and Phil Spector was left alone with the daunting task. Lennon put it best: "He took the shittiest pile of shit ever and made it into SOMETHING." can't argue there, and Spector is to be applauded for the effort. too bad it sucked though

agosto 2009The album was originally supposed to be called Get Back, meaning they were getting back to their rock and roll sound. I think these versions show that.

janeiro 2009This remastered version is phenomenal. All the cheesy extra sound tracks originally added by "music-spoiler" Phil Spector where deleted and out of the "sound mash" evolves a clarified version of one of the best Beatles albums which had been hiding behind the "Wall of Sound" for such a long time. Moreover, the decision to include the powerful masterpiece "Don't Let Me Down" was an undoubtedly necessary modification to the original track listing. A sleeping beauty has been awakened.
