Jayceon Terrell Taylor (29 de novembro de 1979 em Los Angeles, California), mais conhecido simplesmente como The Game, é um rapper norte americano. The Game chegou a fama em 2005, com o sucesso de seu álbum The Documentary tendo ganho dois Grammy. Desde então, The Game é considerado ser uma grande força do hip hop da “Costa Oeste”, competindo contra o hip hop da “Costa Leste”. Recentemente The Game alterou seu nome artistico The Game para apenas Game.
Biografia
The Game nasceu em Compton, um bairro de Los Angeles, California, a alcunha The Game foi dada pela sua avó, por praticar vários esportes. The Game foi vítima de confrontos entre gangs rivais sofrendo tiros, ele ficou em coma e sobreviveu. 50 Cent se caracterizou com as histórias semelhantes e deu uma chance á The Game quando ele foi para Nova York. Outra versão diz-nos que The Game foi descoberto por Dr. Dre; acabando por se associar ao grupo de 50 Cent em virtude de objetivos mediáticos e econômicos. The Game foi contratado pela Shady-Aftermath em 2005. O famoso álbum The Documentary, gravado em 2005, que trazia Hate it or Love it com 50 Cent, e How We Do também com 50 Cent, no álbum incluem-se ainda singles como “Dreams”, “Higher” e “Put You On The Game”. O álbum é o 2° mais vendido da Shady-Aftermath, vendendo cerca de 5 milhões de discos em todo o mundo. O rapper apresenta-se com um “flow”, fluência do rítmo e poesia, característico da West Coast, associado a uma capacidade invulgar para “name drop”, além disto The Game apresenta-se capaz de reproduzir o “flow” de vários artistas.
