Tactical Sekt is an electro-industrial band formed in 2002. They use distorted vocals, EBM beats, and sampling.
Tactical Sekt was conceived by Anthony Mather in 2002 to 2003. Mather had experience with electro-industrial music in his former band, Aslan Faction. When Aslan Faction released their last album, Sin-Drome of Separation in 2003, Anthony already had a few ideas about more danceable music, in the vein of Hocico and Suicide Commando.
Tactical Sekt started touring regularly at the same time as Aslan Faction. After Aslan Faction stopped performing live and making new music, Mather decided to devote himself to Tactical Sekt. The album Geneticide was released soon afterwards in March 2003.
Shortly after Geneticide, Tactical Sekt released Burn Process. The music and the atmosphere were much more euro-trance like.
In the next few years, Tactical Sekt mostly performed live and did remixes for other groups.
In April 2006, a new album came out - Syncope. The standard album featured 12 tracks. A limited edition featured a second disc containing never-before released tracks, mostly from the Geneticide period.

i think the only group that ive found i liked from Tactical Sekt would be Die Sektor. i dont like Hocico, Suicide Commando, or Skinny Puppy. idk what it is really. i really dig how dark Tact and Die make their music. it something i can groove to during the middle of the night while gaming or just surfin the web.

I agree with LiamEBM on some points, except I absolutely love Tactical Sekt and Skinny Puppy. I can't stand some of the bands I "should" like (e.g. Hocico, and the majority of :wumpscut:). Some of those bands I "want" to like, but just can't keep myself from pressing the Next button when they come on. All personal tastes.

how do you not like this band after looking at your top 20 they should be your top 5. try the original tracks on Burn Process if you haven't. those are the ones that stand the test of time.
