TVOTR Brooklyn Concert | News
5 Mai 2009 | de www.interscope.com/tvonradio
TV On The Radio will perform a very special concert at their Brooklyn hometown’s Prospect Park on August 11th, 2009. Partial proceeds from the show will go to benefit The Scotty Hard Trust and Sweet Relief.
About The Scotty Hard Trust: At 3 am on Saturday, February 16, 2008, musician/producer Scotty Hard was the victim of a car crash in which he was a passenger of a car service, returning home from a late-night mixing session. The cab he was riding in was broadsided by a purportedly stolen car; the impact crushed Harding’s T5 vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. He underwent spinal fusion surgery, and spent the next 6 months in the hospital. He continues to maintain a vigorous rehabilitation program, and hopes to one day walk again, but has been given a very doubtful prognosis. Scott's condition is serious and like many dedicated musicians he was without health insurance and is facing very large medical and legal fees. The short-term need to raise cash in order to handle Scott Harding’s affairs is very real. His friends and the dedicated musical community that Scott has long been a part of quickly united, offering performances in the form of a benefit concert for The Scotty Hard Trust, a special account that has been set up by friends of Harding which helps to handle Scott’s short-term financial needs through private monetary donations. Personal donations can be made directly to the Scotty Hard Trust, payable to "The Scotty Hard Trust” and sent c/o Heesok Chang, 970 Kent Ave #401, Brooklyn NY 11205 www.scottyhardtrust.com/
About Sweet Relief: The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund was founded in 1993 as a charity to assist career musicians facing financial hardship due to illness, disability, or age-related problems.
