Formed in late 1999 by the bass player of the melodic Black Metal band SYCRONOMICA, the original idea of Helfahrts music was to create folkloric music with the usage of instruments like different types of flutes, jewsharps and acoustic guitars with the aim to create melancholic moods as well as the dark and esthetical background of natures spirits.

Today I found this on the band´s website - sounds great! SYCRONOMICA with new deal and new album Munich..s epic-blackmetal band SYCRONOMICA have signed a new worldwide record deal with the Bavarian label Silverwolf Productions/SPV. At the moment the band..s third output "Sycroscope" is recorded in Munich..s well known Helion Studios where also both predecessor albums "Paths" (2004) and "Gate" (2006) have been recorded. The release is scheduled for October the 23rd 2009 and will be celebrated with a special release show at the HELION FESTIVAL II (among others Equilibrium, Debauchery, Suidakra, Dark Fortress, Riger etc.) in Munich on October the 24th. At the moment SYCRONOMICA is looking for other shows as well as a tour slot for the period autumn/winter 2009/10. Bookers and promoters may contact the band at any time via sycronomica@web.de.

I can tell you, especially in Bavaria, they are kind of famous in the Underground, they play at several Festivals but only as a support band, first band of the evening and so on. They are, in my opinion, really great, but way underrated. So push them as well as you can, maybe they get at one day really famous.

Decent symphonic metal and seem to be getting support slots with some great bands... looking forward to them at Summer Nights. Clean vocals a little too operatic on occasion though :(

I don't know how popular these guys are in their native Germany, but I get the impression they are severely underrated. This is mid-paced, keyboard-rich black metal played properly. Very good band!
