Você já ouviu a música Ravenlord, gravada pelo Hammerfall, originalmente lançada em um EP do álbum Glory to the Brave e posteriormente incluída no álbum de covers Masterpieces? Caso você não saiba, ela pertence ao Stormwitch, que por incrível que pareça, não teve o mesmo nível de popularidade que seus conterrâneos, como o Helloween, por exemplo. Ao analisar alguns fatos, veremos que não foi o Helloween o principal responsável pela criação do Power Metal e Heavy Melódico, e sim o Stormwitch, que antes dos Keepers já tinha feito sua I Want Out… , justamente a música citada no inicio desta matéria, ou seja, provavelmente o Stormwitch exerceu alguma influência no Helloween. O Helloween em seu primeiro disco, Walls of Jericho, praticava um som bem mais agressivo e cru, enquanto o Stormwitch já buscava fazer um Power Metal polido e Melódico, estilo adotado por Kai & Cia somente anos depois.

'stronger than heaven' lp is almost close to perfection. although all their next releases are not even half that good, there are few interesting songs, like 'wooden drum' or 'at the break of this day'.

Awesome and underrated band, indeed! But I like even Shogun, it`s somewhat different from the other albums, but still great! The last album, Witchcraft, is also a very pleasant surprise!

I'm a little surprised that only Priest of Evil is in the top4 position amongst the classic stuff (first 3 albums --> that's what Priest of Evil delivers, a worthy best of covering those years)
