09. The Bachelor - Patrick Wolf

Favourite Track - "Vultures"
Possibly Patrick Wolf's best album to date... true work of art. :)
08.Expressions - Music Go Music

Favourite Track - "Warm in the Shadows"
Imagine a collaboration between Abba, Blondie and ELO - pure perfection, and represents everything that's missing in the pop music world today.
07. I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose - Bombay Bicycle Club

Favourite Track - "Ghost"
Amazing vocals, the music is catchy, but not annoying, and the lyrics are great! One of my favourite british indie rock albums of the year.
06. In And Out Of Control - The Raveonettes

Favourite Track - "Gone Forever"
It's fun, fun, catchy, and more fun! Consistantly good, and never gets boring!
05. La Roux - La Roux

Favourite Track - "Cover My Eyes"
Forget the horrible, terribly airbrushed album cover- this is possibly the best pop album of the year- I love La Roux, because she does it her own way, rather then follow the wave of "electropop" wannabes teaming up with RedOne, and being all gimmicky *cough*. It's a fun and catchy album, and I love La Roux's vocals!
04. It's Blitz - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Favourite track - "Soft Shock"/"Heads Will Roll"
Possibly my favourite YYY album to date. Loved every track at first listen, and I can never get tired of hearing it. Karen O's vocals are amazing, as ever.
03. Fantasies - Metric

Favourite Track - "Gimme Sympathy"/"Sick Muse"
One thing I love about Metric is, that they keep getting better after every album, and the more I listen to their albums, the more I fall in love with them. "Fantasies" is genius, and it's a pity that this band don't get as much coverage as they deserve!
02. Battle For The Sun - Placebo

Favourite track - "Ashtray Heart"/"Julien"
Of course, Placebo will always be on top of my list. Despite constantly being attacked by indie snob magazines, such as NME/Bitchfork/Drowned in Shite etc, the band not only has a loyal fanbase, but with this album, not only they managed to beat the Black Eyed Peas to number 1 in Europe, but also charted in the US, and won the Best Alternative Act award at the MTV EMA's. So, did they sell out, or maybe they're becoming more commercially successful? Maybe, maybe not, but this album is definitely a breath of fresh air for the band - Sounds different than anything they ever did before, but Molko's distinctive voice still stands out. And remind me- what have those snobby journalists achieved in life, again?
01. Lungs - Florence + The Machine

Favourite track - Do I have to pick one?
This album has to be one of the best albums I've ever heard in my life, and I'm not even exaggerating. Florence Welch's hauntingly beautiful voice, the poetic lyrics, the instrumentation, everything about this album is perfect, and unlike most things, it actually lives up to it's hype - if anything, in a world full of slutty pop acts, annoying X Factor contestants, and Lady Gaga's, there's not even enough hype about this album! I look forward to hear more from F+TM in the future, but I doubt I'll get sick of "Lungs" any time soon.
Wow! It actually took me 3 hours to do this, how bored am i?! Feel free to comment and give your opinions, maybe suggest something I left out of the Top 50! Hope you all had a good music year! :)
