    by the by there are a few diferent versions and one is definatly stan rogers, one was a chick when it started. think they do that a lot on here, no biggie, both versions are ace.

    No, actually it's not. The man's voice isn't Stan's. The band is great (and another Canadian band, if I'm right about the accent), and I like this version, but it's not Stan Rogers.

    Stan would be proud to know that this song saved a man's life; a crewman from the M/V Marine Electric creditted it with giving him the strength to pull himself into the liferaft after she went down.
