The song writing is very good imo, even though it doesn't sound so much like Soilwork. But the production really ruins it for me... Hate the sound of the guitars and the layered vocals.

the only album that's catchier than this one is Figure Number Five and i'd say the songwriting here is the best since A Predator's Portrait, but the production just destroys it completely.. i can't imagine what the fuck they were thinking..

I never really got to like this album :/ The songs are pretty good, well written etc. But the sound is horrible compared to their other albums! Good thing that Wichers is back now and I hope their old sound will remain.

@Indispose: i'd hardly go subjective on a matter like this. rawness is relative, comparing this to Burzum demos or something would be retarded. the last two albums both had a very clear sound while this one sounds fuzzier and grittier than NBC

It is melodic death metal, and this record is a lot better than FNF and STD, less commcercial IMO. They've just drawn more influences from killswitch engage on this record.

Why don't they list the bonus songs Martyr and Sovereigns (best of the album imo). Also heard there's a bonus song called Overclocked but I haven't found it anywhere.
