Ago 5 2007, 0h18 por reutCso now I'm excited I found out The Editors and Klaxons are also playing Amsterdam around November, which means that will officially be the most musical month in my life. I have now decided to compile a list of all the acts I have seen live, in chronological order, and will update it every once in a while because it would make me feel cool. :P
I started this list a year and a half ago before I went for my exchange year in Utrecht, when I was just finding out about a few of the gigs I was gonna get to see and was very excited. Then I forgot about this list and didn't even update it, although it wasn't long after that I found out about festivals such as London Calling and Crossing Border that were full of more gigs by bands I love. I think in-club festivals are my favourite way of spending a weekend. :P
So I just updated this list out of the top of my head, but I'm sure there are things I left out. The last year has just been too full and wonderful. I'll update it again if I remember anything.

Mai 20 2007, 14h16 por ktornbjergOk, so I thought I should write something in this journal thing right here.
I'm very much into Rufus Wainwright at the moment. I have been for a few years now, but since I have tickets for his concert at the Opera House in Copenhagen (Yay!) I've been checking out his new album and his back catalogue as well. I'm still absorbing Release The Stars, but it's growing on me.
I have also recently discovered The Decemberists and am very happy to have done so. It's wonderfully folksy music.
While also trying to absorb the new Arctic Monkeys record, I'm listening a lot to Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Kaiser Chiefs and - for something completely different - Amy Winehouse... And also loving the track "I'll Kill Her" by SoKo.
Mai 13 2007, 8h40 por ShapiroSo, of course, you were supposed to call me tonight
You were supposed to call me tonight
We would have gone to the cinema
And, after, to the restaurant, the one you like in your street
We would have slept together, have a nice breakfast together
And then a walk in a park together, how beautiful, and then
You would have said "I love you" in the cutest place on earth
Where some butterflies are dancing with the fairies
I would have waited like a week or two
But you never tried to reach me
No, you never called me back
You were dating that bleach-blonde girl
If I find her, I swear, I swear...
I'll kill her, I'll kill her
She stole my future, she broke my dream
I'll kill her, I'll kill her
She stole my future when she took you away
I would have met your friends, we would have had a drink or two
They would have liked me, 'cause sometimes I'm funny
I would have met your dad, I would have met your mum
She would have said "please, can you make some beautiful babies?"
