  • Fifty about my fifty

    Set 3 2009, 11h23 por El_Salvador7

Thought it was time to do one of these once. Here it goes:

1.How did you get into no.29?
    Redrama
I discovered this Finnish rapper via the NBA Live 2007 soundtrack on which his track: ‘I Don’t Know What To Tell You” was featured.

    2. What's the first song you ever heard by no.22?
    Lou Reed
    TocarWalk On the Wild Side

    3. Whats your favorite lyric by no.33?
    Dan Auerbach
‘I’m just a kid and you’re a walking candy store.’ (I Want Some More)
‘When the night comes, don’t be afraid you’re only dreaming’ (When The Night Comes)

    4. How did you get into no.49?
    The Love of Everything
I first saw Bobby Burg when he played bass with Chin Up Chin Up at a gig here in Amsterdam. Went on the web to discover he had a few tunes I liked.

    5. How many albums by no.13 do you own?
    The Black Keys
Two. Rubber Factory and Attack & Release.

    6. What is your favorite song by no.50?
    Sum 41
    Eh...In Too Deep or TocarPieces

    7. Is there a song by no.39 that makes you sad?
    The Hood Internet
Not really, as it’s a remix duo. And I frankly only have heard two mixes of them.

    8. What is your favorite song by no.15?
    NOFX
    Reeko or TocarEat the Meek

    9. What is your favorite song by no.5?
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
Pfff, difficult one there. I just can’t say, because they have so many awesome songs. Perhaps I’ll say Otherside. Not because it’s their best song musically(although still very nice), but just because it brings back very happy memories.

    10. Is there a song by no.6 that makes you happy?
    Operation Ivy
Hmm, well most Operation Ivy songs are rather angry and aggressive. But the funny thing is they can cheer me up very well when I’m very angry or sad myself. Partly seen in this perspective I’ll go for Bad Town as their most ‘happy’ song.

    11. What is the worst song by no.40?
    Broken Social Scene
Don’t know that much about them, there’s only a couple songs I like about them. Don’t really know whether they have a song which really sucks.

    12. What is your favorite song by no.10?
    Green Day
Ehm, also not easy. I’ll go for Longview, I think, because of the awesome bassline. But there’s a lot more pretty good Green Day songs.

    13. What is a good memory you have involving no.30?
    Foxboro Hot Tubs
    Don't have one really.

    14. What is your favorite song by no.38?
    Guns ‘n Roses
Sweet Child O’ Mine or Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door. Probably the last one.

    15. Is there a song by no.19 that makes you happy?
    The Rolling Stones
Oh yes there’s a couple. Songs like TocarStart Me Up, I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction), Don’t Stop are really cheerful.

    16. Is there a song by no.25 that makes you sad?
    TRVS DJAM
Well seeing as they don’t really have songs but more one mixtape. It’s a bit the same as question no. 7.

    17. What is the first song you ever heard by 23?
    Box Car Racer
    TocarThere Is

    18. What's your favorite lyric by no.11?
    The Clash
Again hard. I hate these favorite questions, lol. Joe Strummer is one of my favourite singers. In the end I’ll go for this one from TocarKoka Kola: ‘Your snakeskin suit and your alligator boot. You won't need a launderette, you can send them to the vet!

    19. Who is a favorite member of no.1?
    blink-182
I love Mark, Tom and Travis(and Scott for that matter) equally the same. But Travis is probably my favourite, because he’s my favourite drummer and would also contest for my favourite overall musician. His amazing drumming on Blink’s self-titled record made me fall in love with punk rock and maybe even music all together.

    20. Is there a song by no.14 that makes you happy?
    Arctic Monkeys
Before their latest album Humbug, Arctic Monkeys almost exclusively made happy songs. I’ll pick From the Ritz to the Rubble.

    21. What is a good memory involving no.27?
    The Beatles
Listening to Let It Be with my father in our living room, when I was about 5 years old. One of my first steps in discovering the beautiful world of music.

    22. What is your favorite song by no.16?
    +44
Probably Baby Come On. Although Make You Smile, Weatherman and Little Death would be good contestants too.

    23. What is the first song you ever heard by no.47?
    Miles Davis
    TocarSo What

    24. What is your favorite album by no.18?
    Transplants
Their self-titled debut album from 2002 is awesome. Their second album Haunted Cities doesn’t even come close to that.

    25. What is your favorite song by no.21?
    Stars
TocarElevator Love Letter. Good second would be TocarWhat the Snowman Learned About Love.

    26. What is the first song you ever heard by no.26?
    John Frusciante
    TocarMurderers

    27. What is your favorite album by no.3?
    Rancid
Although their latest effort is pretty good, there’s no doubt in my mind my favourite Rancid album is …And Out Come the Wolves. Also one of my overall favourite albums ever.

    28. What is your favorite song by no.2?
    Jimi Hendrix
Again very difficult. But I think ‘TocarThe Wind Cries Mary’ will get my vote. But Jimi has so much more beautiful songs.

    29. What was the first song you ever heard by no.32?
    Ramones
Blitzkrieg Bop. But the first Ramones song I really got into was TocarI Wanna Be Sedated.

    30. What is your favorite song by no.8?
    Nirvana
I said these ‘favourite’ question are very difficult…well not in this case. TocarCome As You Are, no doubt. Could well be my favourite song ever.

    31. How many times have you seen no.17 live?
    Run-D.M.C
Zero times. Not as surprising seeing as Jam Master Jay died about 6 years before I even heard a Run-D.M.C. song.

    32. Is there a song by no.44 that makes you happy?
    Chester French
TocarTime to Unwind is a cute little song.

    33. How did you get into no.12?
    Sugarcult
Ah, man, Sugarcult one of the first bands I ever started listening to. I was about twelve and saw an advertisement on television for them playing a show here in Amsterdam. They played a song and I was sold.

    34. What is the worst song by no.45?
    Dr. Dre
I’ve more and more started to hate TocarThe Next Episode.

    35. What was the first song you ever heard by no.34?
    Marcus Miller
A cover of Stevie Wonder’s Higher Ground.

    36. What was the first song you ever heard by no.48?
    Bob Marley & The Wailers
    [track artist]Talkin’ Blues[/track]

    37. How many times have you seen no.42 live?
    Angels & Airwaves
Once. April 2008 they played the Melkweg here.

    38. What is your favorite song by no.36?
    Stevie Wonder
    TocarHigher Ground.

    39. What was the first song you ever heard by no.28?
    Scott Joplin
TocarMaple Leaf rag. While I was learning to play it on the piano.

    40. What is your favorite album by no.7?
    Slightly Stoopid
Hmm, Closer to the Sun probably. Although Everything You Need was the album that made me fall in love with them.

    41. Is there a song by no.31 that makes you happy?
    Coldplay
They have a couple. TocarViva La Vida, TocarClocks, TocarLife In Technicolor, TocarSpeed Of Sound.

    42. What is your favorite album by no.41?
    The Doors
    The Greatest Hits album, lol.

    43. What is your favorite song by no.24?
    Bowling for Soup
    She’s Got A Boyfriend.

    44. What is a good memory you have involving no.46?
    Tim Armstrong
    Don’t have one really.

    45. What is your favorite song by no.35?
    N.W.A.
    Express Yourself

    46. Is there a song by no.9 that makes you happy?
    Bob Marley
I think you can better ask is there a song by Bob Marley that doesn’t make you happy. Let’s see, what about No Woman, No Cry? ‘Everything’s gonna be alright!’ Or perhaps even TocarStir It Up?

    47. What is your favorite album by no.4?
    Chin Up Chin Up
Both their albums are very good(their EP aswell BTW) and belong to my favourite and most listened to albums of all time. Their first one(We Should Have Never Lived Like We Were Skyscrapers) is probably my favourite by an inch.

    48. Who is your favorite member of no.37?
    Timbahawk
    Timbahawk, lol.

    49. What is the first song you ever heard by no.43?
    ArtOfficial
    TocarBig City Bright Lights

    50. What is your favorite song by no.20?
    Michael Jackson
    TocarBlack or White.

  • Sublime phenomena

    Jan 30 2009, 8h40 por shotta_a_shotta

• 100.000 - Zeit für ein Fazit

    Out 29 2008, 14h34 por SunSearcher

    100.000 gespielte Titel seit 1. Jul. 2006
    100 Lieblingslieder

    2. Manu Chao 4.638 mal gespielt!
Was soll man sagen?

    7. The Kooks 1.745 mal gespielt!
Inzwischen 1.745 mal gespielt - man sieht was daraus geworden ist. ;-)

    8. Nosliw 1.669 mal gespielt!

    10. Bob Marley 1.441 mal gespielt!

Geile Show. Auch an Pyro: Danke für die Unterschrift auf "Das gute Lederportemonnaie" (Zitat: PyroMerz) ;-)

    20. Fettes Brot 872 mal gespielt!
Deutscher Hip Hop, Guter deutscher Hip Hop!

    21. Aerosmith
    22. Jack Johnson
    23. Bob Marley & The Wailers
    24. Wir sind Helden
    25. The Streets
    26. Mono & Nikitaman
