Sirenia banda norueguesa de gothic metal, criada depois da saída de Morten Veland da banda Tristania. Apresenta uma sonoridade muito coesa, característica das composições de Veland.
A banda, cujo nome foi inspirado nas sereias da mitologia grega, sedutoras de homens com sua beleza e seu canto, foi fundada em 2001, após Morten Veland deixar Tristania, outra banda do gênero. Depois de Veland deixar Tristania, não se sabia como ambos ficariam, até 2002, com o lançamento do álbum At Sixes And Sevens, com a participação de Fabienne Gondamin nos vocais. Em 2004, com Henriette Bordvik no lugar de Gondamin, foi lançado o álbum An Elexir For Existence.
Após sua saída do Tristania, Morten restabeleceu contato com sua antiga gravadora, a Napalm Records, e seu produtor, Terje Refnes do Sound Suite Studios. Veland convidou Kristian Gundersen, que se encaixava perfeitamente em suas inclinações musicais, para integrar a banda. Gundersen era guitarrista e executava partes de vocais limpos. Também era integrado à banda o tecladista Hans Henrik Varland.
Logo em seu trabalho inicial, At Sixes and Sevens, gravado no final de 2001 e lançado no começo de 2002, o Sirenia já atraíu grande público. O álbum, que contém 9 músicas, é marcado pela presença de características de symphonic metal aliadas ao clássico gothic metal.

I think the 13th floor will be fail if it's more like the style of NDAAD even though I liked that album because Ailyn's voice wouldn't really suit that style and it would be far too pop. However if it's more like their first 2 albums I think it would work well because Ailyn would suit a more backupish spot much more.

It is "radio mix", not "remix" :) It means it will be shortened version with emphasis on its catchiness...just a radio friendly version to attract people. So it gonna be poppy, at least to certain extent. I guess it gotta sound at least slightly Evanescencish (Ailyn generally sounds so). I like Evanescence, so no problem with me :D
