It doesn't sound so overproduced if you're already used to Stephen Hague from his other production work.

a few tracks on the second half are a little bit ordinary but i've always loved this album. softly is a masterpiece, for instance. then there's shadowtime and kiss them for me - two of the greatest early 90s pop singles ever.

problem probably is the band and their music progressed ......those slating the album did not.......but each to their own......live in the past if you wish

Although I do understand why many hardcore fans were quite disappointed with this album - I mean, Superstition and for example Juju are like polar opposites - I think one of the best things about Siouxsie and the Banshees is the fact that they kept on experimenting new things. They didn't repeat themselves. And if you don't draw too much comparisons you can realise how good Superstition actually is.

it's too bad some people can't see the greatness of this album. i will admit that it is a bit overproduced, but some of the material is just amazing. if you don't like this you probably just don't like pop, and i'm sorry, the banshees were just as much pop as they were goth or punk or alternative or whatever.
