Sobre este álbum

Após a saída de vários membros do grupo, Siouxsie & the Banshees se recompôs e redirecionou sua sonoridade para o terceiro álbum deles, Kaleidoscope, de 1980. Vindos de um som próximo do punk rock, a banda inicia a sua experiência com o Gothic rock e música eletrônica. Este álbum também marca a estréia do novo baterista e compositor da banda, Budgie, que permaneceu com o grupo até o seu fim, em 1996. Kaleidoscope foi remasterizado em 2006, recebendo duas músicas extras que não foram lançadas na primeira gravação do álbum.

I would have loved to be round during the punk and early eightees in my teens. Unfortunately i was only born in 1980. So i missed all that and grew up in the 90's instead. It must have been so exciting to invent music using early electronic sounds. Everyone seems to be doing the 80's sound these days, but its not the same. Besides me and Ladytron invented the ressurgence, unfortunately though, no one got to hear my versions of it before it got common again. :-) Like this album, i would have loved it at the time too.

wait for the 2cd remastered edition, the above listed demos/outtakes are crap and the album is a few brilliant songs surrounded by pointless tracks like "Clockface"
