The first half is pretty poppy and because of that it's boring, second half shows true meaning of Sigur Rós - minimalistic and breathtaking, absolutely not for everyone. Ara Batur is probably the most beautiful rock masterpiece ever. On youtube you can find stunning live performance of Ara Batur in HD and a clip with translation. Lyrics are epic.

I really don't get how people dislike this album. I'm a huge fan of Sigur Ros and their earlier post rock stuff is amazing, but the fact they turned poppy doesn't make them worse. That set aside, Festival is super post and my favorite by them.
