Shadows Fall é uma banda americana de Metal, formada em Springfield, Massachusetts, no final de 1995, pelos guitarristas Jonathan Donais e Matt Bachand, com a ajuda de Adam Dutkiewicz. Embora a banda tenha passado por várias mudanças em sua formação, na maior parte das gravações do Shadows Fall a formação foi Brian Fair (vocals), Jonathan Donais (guitar) , Matt Bachand (guitar), Paul Romanko (bass), e Jason Bittner (drums).

I've like every SF album but I really wish they would go back toward the style of Of One Blood and/or The Art of Balance. They don't need to make the same records again but they've simplified their sound way too much over the years, they're sounding more generic these days.

They've stood strong and consistent for a decade and a half. It would be as offensive to you if I said Opeth were random just because I hadn't listened enough and just left them a trollish shout.
