So I finally started this journal about the albums I have been listening, I try to tell about them with few words, It's about my opinions and my feelings towards the album. It's not my problem if you disagree with some of my words.
Mekkanikka - Basic Tribal Pattern (2003)
This album is a killer, it's full of fast beats and melodies.
Every Mekkanikka album is chiseled to perfection leaving no marks of bad quality nor bad production.
You can actually hear the "tribal" feeling on this album, tribal's dancing around the campfire and cold harsh nights of the desert.
If you are fan of Africa or Australia then this album is your pick.
This is probably one of my favorite psy albums.
Listen and imagine...
Score 8.5/10
Mekkanikka - Global Warning (2007)
This is another Mekkanikka and it doesn't feel as good as Basic Tribal Pattern.
Sadly this album isn't so danceable and enjoyable as BTP, it do have good songs though. Many artists have started to use background voices lately such as by saying to song titles etc. in the middle of the track. I never really liked voice on my psy/goa but I do respect that.
Global Warning is still good release and it has good tracks such as Over The Edge for an example. Couple of annoying tracks are Cool Cats and Fcuked Up (no really, it's typed like Fcuked)
This album is still worth of buying because it's true Mekkanikka and it does pays respect to the other Mekkanikka releases, you can really hear that is Mekkanikka release and nobody else's.
Score 7/10
Kylie Minogue - Ultimate Kylie (Disc 1) (2005)
One word: Boring.
This album got couple of good tracks but that's it.
I was never fan of Kylie and I probably never be.
Score 3/10
Kenny Chesney - Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates (2007)
*Sigh* Can country be any better than this ?
Not in my opinion, Kenny shows why I really love country.
He make heart touching ballads of everyday life ranging from rising kids to bar nights.
Kenny's powerful voice is like whiplash to your ears, you just keep wanting more and more with great anticipation. Steel drum beats nicely in the background and music is full of melodic country.
No wonder this album has gained lots of praise, it's Kenny's best album to date.
When choosing country album and you wonder what should I buy, buy this one and you know you won't be disappointed.
But beware, after listening this album you probably end up under the bridge with six dollar bottle of wine like Kenny in his song.
Country as its best...
Score 9+/10
Lighthouse Family - Greatest Hits (2003)

Lighthouse Family's Greatest Hits album is full of feeling of the golden age of easy listening. Lighthouse Family plays melodic mix of pop and rock (and maybe there is little bit of even dance music in the mix).
Every song in Greatest Hits are really great, this is definitely one of the best non metal album i've ever heard and it totally earns the title of Greatest Hits.
This album always brings back memories, I probably found this band on MTV few years ago I lost it and probably didn't paid any attention to it (and I don't even like to watch mtv) and after just few months ago I found this band again, I don't remember how the heck I stumbled upon this but it did sounded cool and I just fell in love.
But all in all this album is really wonderful and specially suit when you are depressed or angry, these easy listening beats heal your mind and soul and you feel like renew.
Buy this album if you haven't yet.
Score 10-/10
Space Monkey - Psychotic Episode (2004)
No wonder I'm so big psytrance fan. Space Monkey's music hits you like a goddamn sledgehammer starting at the very first second.
Bone crushing fast beats give very good sound on my bass boost.
This album is a goddamn beast (and the album cover even boosts it's effect)
Songs doesn't get boring and every song is unique on it's own way.
There are few phrases of japanese through the songs as well as spoken words of english but they doesn't harm the music, they actually do blend very well to it.
"Who are you again ?" "We are the aliens from outer space". Metallic scratches and weird effects and sounds like spaceship controls and sirens.
This album takes you to trip to the stars and there's no coming back.
Everything ends at big space battle with laser guns and sounds of explosions.
And the wind blows the ashes away, dust of stars (actually there ain't wind in the space but you get the picture).
This is harder than some of the melodic psytrance items I usually enjoy but I really love Space Monkey to the core...
Visibility is clear and there aren't any cloud in the sky.
Roger that, prepare for the landing.
Score 9+/10
Various Artists - Future Trance Vol. 38 (year unknown)

(sorry for so small Image, couldn't find bigger)
Future Trance is compilation of various trance/hard trance releases, volumes has been made at least 43 (I could be mistaken, those are which I have)
Songs are from pretty known artists such as DJ Tiësto for an example.
These are okay if you like clubs which plays dance music.
Future Trance releases are look to the vast genre of electronic dance music and they try to easy the pain of searching through thousands of artists.
Every Future Trance volumes are high quality, good tracks from good artists.
So get your dirty boots on and start moving your body goddammit.
Score 7/10
Geoffrey Oryema - Spirit (2000)

(sorry for so small Image, couldn't find bigger)
One word: Deep
Imagine cry of a man who longs for back to his home country, Uganda. Where there are green fields and clear water.
This is the dream of no other than man called Geoffrey Oryema.
Hi's voice is really deep and heart touching. Every Geoffrey's song is cry for help, cry for better world. Deeply carving cry who touches men and woman alike around the world.
At the age of 24, at the height of Idi Amin’s power, Oryema was smuggled across the Ugandan border in the trunk of a car, following the death of his father, a prominent government minister, beginning a life in exile. Today his songs keep alive the languages of his youth - Swahili and Acholi and return to the lost country - the ‘clear green land’ of Uganda. (borrowed from Geoffrey's biography)
Geoffrey's music is one of the best world can offer today.
Songs of pure passion, love and sadness.
Geoffrey's voice is very deep and fits the music perfectly.
Almost heavenly beats of african instruments are caring for the ear with their silky like soft sounds. And with Geoffrey's lovely voice to the mix. Mamma mia what a cuisine.
Seriously Geoffrey Oryema is worth of praising and he knows that.
This music is from the pure heart to the heart.
Score 9/10
Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Alone In Iz World (2001)
Starting all over again, it's gonna be hard on us but we're gonna make it.
We lost one we had and that hurt so bad, but we're gonna make it.
So sings Israel Kamakawiwo'ole aka IZ.
What I can say about this album, I have really no words.
Other than it's heart touching cry of Hawai’i
With Israel's music world is a better place.
Bless his soul whereever he is now.
It's gonna be rough but we're gonna face it...
Score 9/10
Body Count - Body Count (1992)

(sorry for so small Image, couldn't find bigger)
Body Count plays nice mix of rap and metal, songs are funny and highly enjoyable.
This isn't a bad album.
Ice-T do have a very good voice and his vocals crush your bones.
Voodoo is one of my favorite songs on this album.
That nigga took my motherfucking girl and there goes the neighborhood.
Crush, kill and destroy.
Score 7,5/10
Sephiroth - Draconian Poetry (2005)
This album takes you to the trip of ruins of old rusty steel factory.
But the factory's heart is still beating fast.
As you travel through the empty corridors rusty metal scratching below your footsteps you feel like being in home. Just you and the empty rooms and your sick twisted thoughts. This music is perfect for post apocalyptic world where everything has been turned to dust. It really felts like Fallout 3 expansion called the Pitt (you might also find similarity on Silent Hill games).
Wind blows quietly on every corner and whispers to your ears.
You shed a tear and it fell to the steel cage like floor.
This album is just perfect and it's one of the best i've ever heard.
When the music stops you feel heart broken and empty inside.
Score 9,5/10
. - Anatomy of Drone (2007)
(sorry for so small Image, couldn't find bigger)
Hardly get any info of this band, last.fm doens't recognice it because the bands name is . (dot).
. plays some drone/doom/ambient stuff, it ain't creepy and it's kinda boring.
Perfect for sleeping medicine.
Not bad release afterall, but feels like even I could make similar music.
I can hear only one tune which is the thread which keeps the song together.
This music is very deep and low quality so someone mighty actually enjoy it, it reminds me of littlebit of funeral doom because it's so damn slow.
Score 4/10
Terri Clark - Pain To Kill (2003)
If I do love male country, God do I like female country too.
Star of the female country is definitely no other human being than Terri Clark.
With her beautiful voice she earned very high spot in my heart.
Every song on this album is goddamn good and makes you sing along.
And damn, doens't Terri look really nice dontcha think ?
If I would have such a mother like her I would be more than proud.
Sing Terri Sing
If there is heaven then it's definetly here on earth, we have many lovely bands/artists on it.
Score 9,5/10
Arcana Coelestia - Ubi Secreta Colunt (2007)
Arcana Coelestia plays really nice mix of black metal and funeral doom and they do blend together very well.
This bands screams and low riffs are very good and the quality is top notch.
I don't usually like such fast doom myself but this is hybrid of black and doom metal so it is faster than regular doom.
Songs aren't too long and you can actually understand what this guy is singing.
In my opinion every doom metal fan should hear this album, even if you aren't fan of black metal or doom this is still good release all in all.
This is one of those albums which won't get boring after two listenings, this is one those albums who does last for years to come.
I can't really think of similar band here (atleast nothing comes to mind at the moment), this does feel unique and fresh.
It is very melancholic and sad release.
Fresh from the grave.
Score 8/10
Symphorce - Twice Second (2004)
This album is okay power/progressive metal album, it isn't much melodic but still enjoyable. Andy B. Franck has very good deep voice and it suits very well to the music.
I still think Brainstorm is better Andy because it's much more melodic and powerful band. In the end this album brings back nice memories when I was still pretty new to the power metal.
Score 7/10
Saga - Breathing Lessons (2003)
Seriously WHOA
This album still kicks so much ass after many years.
Saga has been together more than four decades and still they know how to make awesome progressive rock which won't get old and lasts forever.
Michael Sadler's awesome lovely voice rings in your ears long after the song and then you just know that you love this album.
Each song tells it's own story and together they blend beautiful journey.
This is Saga as its best
Say what you say, in my opinion Marathon is their best album so far, it's full of good nice memories and powerful ageless songs.
Best song: Breathing Lessons
Worst song: None
This album is like good wine, when it matures it gets better and better.
If you love progressive rock don't miss this...
Score 9+/10
Melodica - Lovemetal (2001)

(sorry for so small Image, couldn't find bigger)
Melodica plays "melodic rock" as described in their bio.
Melodica's singer isn't the best and songs are somewhat boring.
Solo's hurt your ears and in overall they aren't nothing special.
Songs too too long for melodic rock songs and i'm tired when every damn song is about love and/or romance. This album makes you feel sleepy and you start to yawn while listening it.
Maybe there are couple of good songs but I haven't found them yet.
Just not my thing (and I usually like melodic rock).
Score 5/10
