I've loved this ever since I first heard it in 1991. I don't think I played any of the other songs from the album, just this one, again and again. I was in the middle of a period in life I still call "three strange years"
@eiledon18 I googled that phrase but the only results were ABC, Mr. Mister (likely too early) and All-American Rejects (likely too late). Sorry. maybe check different phrases and you'll get lucky. Good luck!
I'm looking from a song from the same era that sounds similar to this. Lyrics are "welcome to the real world, this is the real world, uh huh. (Not John Mayer, it's around 1994) Thanks so much. It used to get played on the Seattle-area alt rock stations and college stations, I think.
LoveThe90s, completely agree. Nate- I felt exactly the opposite. Much better album than I expected. Sadly, there were no "shouts" for rose-colored glasses when I heard it recently. Great album that has faded into obscurity....
