OK then, well I think it's high time that someone stood up and shouted nice and loud about these unsigned artists. Because while most people are supporting the rich and the famous in music. There are still an awful lot of artists here on last.fm. That are being overlooked by listeners as well as the music industry. And it's not like they even deserve this treatment. Unsigned music is a genre in itself. That crosses a number of many genres, with appeal for listeners of all ages. Many of these artists also give away a lot of their music. Or at the very least make it available as a full preview stream. So once you've listened and found that the unsigned. Are not quite the leper's colony you thought they were. Then at at least you know what you like. When they make a buyable CD or digital download. This in turn keeps their music alive. And keeps us as avid listeners very happy.
OK so here's a few of those great artists that I've been eluding to here
TheTrees Now this band are from Basildon in Essex,England. Home of some of Britain's national music heroes. And these fellas should be no different. Top soundalikes for me. I would say are The Charlatans and The Stone Roses. So fans of either of those bands should find TheTrees a great listen. But as with any or all of these artists. You really need to make up your own mind.
The Home Guard are my favourite band from Peterborough,Cambridgeshire England. Come to think about it,they're the only band I know from there. But anyway these good chaps have their second album now available to pre-order here

And for £5 if you get in quick this has to be an absolute bargain. But I would highly reccommend paying the £11 for both albums.
If you don't own the first one already. These two young men just don't make bad music. And are well worth every bargain penny you spend on them.
The Silver Wizard Project Well I believe that new music by this great band from London,England. Were due to start soon. But unfortunate circumstances have meant that this has had to be postponed for the time being. But don't let that stop you listening to these good people. There are free downloads and fully streamable songs-a-plenty on their page. All worth a listen at any time.
Terry Springford Terry is from Melbourne,Victoria,Australia. Terry's music is both heartfelt and sometimes heartwrenching and speak a lot about a journey through love and how life can be.
I feel a lot can be learned about Terry. Just by listening to the heart and soul that he puts into it. All him music is available on free download. And a singer of his quality really deserves to be listened to by a lot of people. Gina Moryson whose current project is
Sax & Moryson among a few other of her projects. Is from Essen in Germany and is a highly talented saxophonist amongst other many talents. Candy Dulfer and Mindi Abair fans alike. Will find Gina's saxophone especially exciting and highly enjoyable I feel. Gina is also a very generous lady. That makes a lot of her music available free for streaming or download.
Daniel Chappell Daniel is an absolute delight to listen to. Generous to a fault. As he also makes all his current music freely downloadable. So I can only Imagine that there are very many relaxation classes around the world all now playing his music. He comes fom Utah but lives in California USA. He has never been trained but still makes music. Pretty amazing considering how really good he makes it all sound. Daniel also runs two groups at this current time.
Which I feel are well worth a mention. There's the Unsigned America group. Aimed at artists from The American continent but open to all. And with some highly listenable artists connected to this group. He also runs the Unsigned Christmas group. This is aimed at artists and listeners from around the globe. That have any interest at all in seasonal music of this kind. The Scrooge's among us can bah humbug all they like. But this is a seriously fun group that encourages all unsigned artists to compose or cover the songs. That make Christmas season so very special to so many people. There is an artist page to compliment any songs supplied by any artist too. More information can be gathered through Daniel himself. Or through Acuvi, Sussilo or myself. And I would highly encourage this from all you seasonal listeners and unsigned artists.
Brendan's Band Brendan's Band consist of Brendan McCreary,Steve Bartek,Jon Schwarz and Bryan Taylor. They are from somewhere in the USA. And sound like a fine mix of Freddie Mercury,Mika and Maroon 5. add that in with a sound that is very definitely all their own and there you have it. They are a top quality band with a sound to behold and I hope will go a very long way. Currently in the process of recording an album due for release in Autumn. So keep an eye open for that. I'm pretty sure it will be worth every penny,cent or whichever currency you use. Their current music is fully streamable so miss out on this great band at your own loss.
John Laval John is from Carlisle,Cumbria,England. And I think is also in the process of recording an album right now. His Stories EP is available for free download. And is well worth listening to. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself.
Steem Steem are from The Netherlands [Holland]. And make just brilliant music. The band are also in the process of recording some new music. But have 8 songs freely available here. I can't speak highly enough of their music it is that good. And they are a firm favourite of mine from the European mainland. All of you that don't listen to this fantastic band are definitely missing out.
My Endeavour Tim and the boys are mostly from Southampton,Hampshire,England. They're are currently touring and are due to headline at The Fahrenheit Festival in Wimblington,Cambridgeshire this weekend. If you can get there at all I would reccommend that you do. They are not dissimilar to Linkin Park or maybe even Pendulum. But have a style and voice that can definitely only be that of their own.
And as you can see they have an album due out on December 7th 2009. This will be well worth the money too. But they also have some free downloads you can listen to in the meantime.
Detox Cute And The Beauty Junkies Paisley and Charlie are making pure pop serious fun again. They are from Brighton in Sussex and London,England. Charlie the great musician and Paisley the beautifully endearing voice are two of the most enthusiastic and generous people in music around today. Among the first artists to get so involved with the Unsigned Christmas group. This pair of popsters, really deserve a great longevity in the world of music. They are currently involved in at least two big projects to be revealed at a later date. And have at least four fully streamable tracks and three videos available on here to watch. I wish these two beautiful souls every success in the future. As they are an absolute credit to the music profession.
Rook and The Ravens This Manchester, Lancashire,England band are also really very good. They have 1 free download and 4 full streams available here that are all quite different and appealing. Well worth listening to in anyone's book.

Ten Bears They have several fully streamable tracks available here. And are also due to do a couple of gigs at the Camden Barfly in London. One in September the other in November this year. They are also very worth any listens you can give them.
Ten Tigers This band come from Essex in England. They have some downloadable tracks and streamable one's that just need to be heard. I think they have a bit of an unusual sound. that is quite hard to genrelise.
Temple Scene Now this electro-guitar duo. Landed on my page here very recently. And now I am saying they really need to be heard. They are Philippe Rose and Ric Levy and come from London,England. And I really don't think I'm wrong in saying that they are brilliant. They have quite a few fully streamable tracks here. So do give them at least a listen. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.
Guiye Frayo This unusual sounding pair come from London,England. All I'm saying is give them a listen you might like them or love them.
John Zealey John has to be one of the best British male solo voices that is unsigned today. I don't know why either because he deserves a lot more. He has several songs avilable to download or stream. So use him or lose him.
Cancel The Astronauts are from Edinburgh,Scotland. They make music not unlike a lot of their famous fellow countrymen around today. And their great mix of free and streamable tracks are all worth listening to here. From Göttingen,Germany come
Minorcracy Always great to hear and currently with 3 free downloads are well worth a punt. From Gothenburg in Sweden come
Kate and After Now if there's a better band from Sweden this year. I haven't heard them yet. they are currently touring in Sweden now. And have a few tracks here available for free download.
Aaron king are from Brighton in England. And have a few tracks here for free download. Among their listed influences here. Are The Beatles and Kate Bush. When they've married those two together on a track of theirs. I definitely want to hear it. And I bet you do too.
martino vergnaghi is a true gentleman artist from Italy. His generosity again cannot be faulted at all. With several streamable tracks here that are both ambient and beautiful. They are very much worth several listens. Martino was another artist that was very quick to allow a track for the Unsigned Christmas group and page. He is currently recording an album which I hope will get many sales. He really deserves it.
Heritage Centre are from Ireland. They have several highly listenable free downloads on here. And surely have to be worth it.
Stars and Sons are a 4-piece band based in Brighton,England. they have several free downloads and 1 full track on here. I really like these guys. Their music is good for all to hear.
Colours Run are another Manchester band with the exception of Tim who is from Liverpool. I really like this band a lot. So again listen or lose out. They have quite a few tracks split equally between streams and downloads. And I wish them every success for the future with their great music.
Unsigned Christmas was set up by a group of listeners who want to hear something a little different and better this Christmas. We are hoping that generous artists make generous listeners.
