  • Between Heaven and Hell? Sarah Brightman's 'Symphony'

I recently took my time and listened to the new Sarah Brightman's album 'Symphony' very carefully, in order to be able to come up with a valid opinion about it. The result is that I've totally gone obsessed with this listening, and I believe it must be a positive sign of what this album actually has got to offer.

The predecessor of this release came out in 2003, so there's actually a 4/5-year-gap between this and the last studio recording. This time (because every album by Sarah seems to have a main central theme, from water and seas in her debut solo album 'Dive' to the oriental style of 'Harem') Sarah decided to go goth.
Let me say just one thing: this style TOTALLY suits her. Not only because she looks great in that outfit, but also because her vocal range can reach very high tones, and this, I believe, is really good when you want to give the 'beauty and the beast' impression in music, which is typical in a goth song (it's not just a case that she was the inspiration for 'The Phantom of the Opera' after all).
