Fev 15 2012, 9h54 por sengeezerTue 14 Feb – Dream Theater, Periphery
Not having expected much of Periphery, their set, aside from the FOH board guy's abysmal performance, wasn't much of a let down. I still think they are a bad choice for a DT support band. They're a second rate college band with a Ryan Star wannabe for a singer.
Considering they'd only just arrived from being denied a well deserved Grammy, Dream Theater played with great energy and enthusiasm, a sort of proverbial great middle finger to the academy.
Continuing in the trend of the new era, we got the setlist with As I am as the encore, so although they'd compiled a great set, there were no surprises. Beyond that, however, I thoroughly enjoyed their set and would go see the same set again.
On the flipside, what stood out this time was the next stage of their show as fixed event strategy (as opposed to giving fans the most for their money and surprising them). Not only did LaBrie use a vocal harmony generator wherever he could…

Ago 20 2011, 17h48 por MustBeDreaming1day 01 - your favorite song
Well, it's a really hard question, because it changes all the time. But if I have to pick up exactly one song, I think, it must be Madonna's Bad Girl. Such great memories from my childhood, when I watched this brilliant video million times a day! :-) I know, this song can be far from being perfect, but I also know that there is no song I love more than Bad Girl.
(PS. Though the first thought was about Zombie, I eventually changed my mind.)
day 02 - your least favorite song
Hm, I used to have a tag "hate this song", but about a week ago I decided to delete it, because.. just don't know :-) And about the question - my all-time most hated song is Umbrella by Rihanna. Really annoying, and the singer's vocals sound like she is sick and going to barf X_X
day 03 - a song that makes you happy
Ohh, there are many songs that make me happy, but the most working one is Lady Gaga's Bad Romance :D
And I think I must mention P!nk's Stupid Girls…

Just saw Bon Jovi live the other day, and I have to say, that there is no artist who can top him live. He was absoutley amazing, and continued to put on a great show all throughout the night. This was not my first time seeing him perform, but each time his set and his energy/emotion has been absoutley breathtaking. He played everything from the classics we all know and love, and his new tunes that show how much he has grown over time. Jon is my main inspiration, and is the reason I fell in love with music, and it broke my heart a little bit when the show had to come to an end :P For those of you who haven't had the oppurtunity of seeing him live, I would highly sujest you get up off your ass and get to it, cause time is running out XD. My love goes out to Jon, and the boys,Tico, David, and Richie, you will always have the biggest piece of my heart that there is to offer.
For those who are interested in the opening act, it was Ryan Star. He did an awsome set, and had great energy. …

# 20. Thirsty Merc - Mousetrap Heart
Thirsty Merc, how do I begin? I remember hearing their first single, 'Mousetrap Heart' off their second album of the same name on the radio. Every. single. day. Non-stop. Without fail! And it's not one of those stupid mainstream pop songs you have to endure on a day to day basis. It's actually... nice, to say the least. So that stemmed my interest in the band! Turns out they're pretty huge in Australia and the front man has a reputation of... a nice 'fro! The album is pretty solid! Just nice for a pop album.
# 19. Neon Trees - Habits
Neon Trees was one of those up and coming bands that was BEGGING to be recognised. Their single 'Animal' was just starting to blow up, so I figured I give the band a spin before the hype settled in so I be all pretentious can point to them and say 'HA, I knew them before they were famous!' :D They deserve all the fame they're getting now.
# 18. Kevin Rudolf - To The Sky
