i think his vocals go great with the atmosphere that Rosetta's music paints. one of my favorite acts I'd have to say. [2]

Brilliant song! So much energy, despair and beauty ... And nice to post the lyrics here as well. They are important to fully submerge into it and actually the whole album.

Anyone notice that the first riff is exactly the same as the one in So Did We by Isis?

Screams and growls are good. Monotone screams that never change aren't. Musically the song kicks ass, though!

Most people I know that have listened to Rosetta and don't like it say it's because of the vocals. But it's more because they don't like any metal and they appreciate Rosetta musically but can't get passed the vocals. Metal/Screaming vocals are definetly an aquired taste. That being said, I like Mike Armine's vocals, and he is a tremendous performer live.

It's strange, cause I hardly ever enjoy such vocals.. But that screaming sounds just as it should. Can't imagine another way of such a "monolith" singing, you know..

agree with gyimess on this... i've never really dug rosetta's vocals not enough range and variety.

I wish there was an instrumental version of this album, without all the monotone lamish screaming. Or at least it could be fainted, like in Homesick - the song that Year of no light made with Rosetta. Anyway the vocals are way too much in prominence for me.

Agreeing with the vocal-bashing here. I don't see that they add anything to what is otherwise pretty good post-metal.
