O auge do Pink Floyd foi o lançamento do LP “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, e isto de alguma maneira desestimulou os integrantes do grupo, o que levou Waters a compor “Wish You Were Here”.

Smithee1407 Yeah, what a sad stupid joke! There's a world of difference between the energetic creative young musician who drew diagrams for "A Saucerful of Secrets" and the depressed middle-aged hack who simply tried (and failed) countless times to create yet another pointlessly cynic set of entertaining songs dressed as a "concept album" for those who might listen to Art Rock as long as it's no more complex than "The Wall" and "Final Cut". As ridiculous as those albums can be, he couldn't recreate them alone. His only creative idea has been financial : Perform "The Wall" in everywhere you can, put up helicopters and walls and flying pig balloons and shit, make some money. Waters has been one of the most boring one-note people in Rock for the last 25 years. Since the late 80's he's basically been just the singer of "We don't need no education" and is intellectual enough for every idiot teenager to understand. He's been as musically irrelevant as Metallica playing Nothing Else Matters.

Rhayader18 I totally agree with you...I mean Roger Waters had to break up Floyd and do lawsuits an be a general asshole about it and then for all these last years of his life he goes around touring the same crap (it's not crap but you know what I mean) all over the planet. I saw him live his last two tours besides the recent Wall shows and it was apparent he lost his voice LONG ago. I also saw him in '87 - he should've retired after that. After seeing David Gilmour live it really became apparent who was the musical soul of Pink Floyd. Roger might've wrote the lyrics but DG made it all come together musically. If RW was such a high and mighty artist he should've never toured all the Floyd stuff and at the same time bitched and moaned about how DG and the others were "whoring" his "baby". What a joke!

MAROON3D I don't know how to do that. I don't want to, either. Anyway, I think "The Wall" is one of the average Pink Floyd albums, and re-performing for 33 years is a cash-in by a creatively-bankrupt Waters. Now that I've expressed my opinion, feel free to curse me again, you unique intellectual person.

Roger, you should perform another live concert of "The Wall" . AGAIN. And make lots of money. AGAIN. You're a true "Artist".
