Ah ---- yes, and I like his music too. He definitely does not get the recognition he deserves.

Cray is a victim of the critics who don't consider him a great bluesman. Fax is Cray is from the rhythm and blues tradition. NOBODY plays what Cray is playing anymore. On top of that he's not from New Orleans he's from Oakland Cali and Oaktown has it's own tradition. In fact California as a whole has a great R&B tradition that gets no respect! Johnny Otis, Jimmy Witherspoon, Cray.

He bends those notes nicely, doesn't he? He simply "talks and walks" with his fingers, and I like what I hear. Clean and clear as the open sky, never muddy or buried under vocals, just guitar resounding within my mind and soul.
