Vie 12 Sep – Aupa Lumbreiras!! (Lumbreras Rock Festival) 2008

Crónica sacada de aquí. No estoy de acuerdo con algunas cosas, como lo que se dice de la zona de acampada, pero en líneas generales esta bien la crónica:

En la localidad albaceteña de Tobarra se celebró este pasado fin de semana (12 y 13 de septiembre) el festival Aupa Lumbreiras !! que en ediciones anteriores tuvo lugar en Puerto Lumbreras y en Yéchar (ambas en Murcia) y que en esta edición estrena ubicación. Esta vez llegamos el viernes, primer día de festival, y con el tiempo justo para entrar al recinto de conciertos. El clima acompañaba perfectamente para las dos jornadas que nos aguardaban.

Ya una vez dentro escuchamos a Iratxo dando los últimos compases de su directo, muy correcto como de costumbre. Era el turno de Strawberry Hardcore, que calentaban motores con un calor sofocante, repasando temas de sus dos largos como la famosa “Perdido En Silent Hill”. Éstos cambiaron su actuación del sábado al viernes, lo contrario que A Palo Seko. Tras ellos, los madrileños Skunk D.F. y su dosis de metal de nueva escuela siguieron caldeando el ambiente.
Con el calor que estábamos sufriendo, nos tomamos un descanso hasta las actuaciones de Sínkope y Poncho K que pese a no estar entre los directos que más ansiábamos ver nos animaron para lo que venia después. Fue entonces cuando disfrutamos de lo lindo con Hora Zulú. Los granadinos descargaron todo su potencial haciendo vibrar al público, pero nos dejaron con ganas de más. Una de las actuaciones que la gente más esperaba era la de Marky Ramone, batería de los míticos Ramones quién nos deleitó con temás clásicos de éstos referentes del punk.

Los Suaves y Barricada cumplieron, como estamos acostumbrados, aunque éstos últimos prescindieron bastante de la voz del “El Drogas”.
La Kinky Beat nos aportó un poco de reposo tras la buena dosis de rock que habíamos recibido. Su fusión de reggae y jungle fue genial y nos sentó como un soplo de aire fresco.
Luego subió Narco a repartir caña como pocas bandas del país saben hacer. Su directo no defrauda a nadie, nunca. Sin descansar un solo minuto conectamos con el directo de El Último Ke Zierre cuyo cantante parece ir mejorando poco a poco, con respecto a los últimos tiempos. Terminábamos la primera noche con las actuaciones de Ni por favor ni ostias Y Envidia Kotxina, presentando ambos sus nuevos trabajos
a la vez que repasaban temas de sus inicios. Y como colofón, uno de los grandes triunfadores del evento, Fuckop Family, a quienes no conociamos apenas y que nos sorprendieron enormemente con su fusión rap metal. Su futuro será indudablemente prometedor.

Sábado, segundo día de festival iniciábamos nuestro periplo con la descarga de A Palo Seko, de los que no teníamos muchas noticias últimamente y demostraron seguir en buena forma. Una avalancha de gente entró al recinto para disfrutar del directo de Porretas quienes divirtieron como pocos, y que llegaron con nuevo disco bajo el brazo.
Entonces subieron los valencianos Obrint Pas quienes montaron el fiestón al que nos tienen acostumbrados con su ska mestizo y sus letras comprometidas.
Eran casi las cinco de la tarde y el calor era sofocante así que buscamos refugio en la sombra de la barra y aprovechamos para descansar y reponer fuerzas durante las actuaciones de Eskorzo y Lendakaris Muertos.
Cita ineludible eran los siguientes, Koma, uno de nuestros grupos favoritos y con los que nos empezábamos a desmelenar sabiendo lo que estaba por venir esa noche. A nuestro pesar, nos tuvimos que ausentar del recinto hasta la actuación de Hamlet, quienes repasando su repertorio de la gira 15 aniversario tuvieron seguramente el peor sonido de todo el festival. El concierto de Kutxi Romero y ja ta ja nos resultó demasiado tranquilo (incluso aburrido) para el tipo de bandas allí citadas. Gatillazo estuvo en su línea con Evaristo, todo un showman, recordando también algunos temas de siempre de La Polla Records.
The Toy Dolls actuaron tras media hora de ajustes técnicos y sonaron mucho mejor que las demás bandas. Pasamos todo el concierto brincando al compás de su punk bailongo.
Albert Plá aportó una nota de humor, también necesario en este tipo de eventos.
Era el momento de los más esperados, Soziedad Alkoholika que también sonaron mejor que el resto de grupos y que repasaron magistralmente su amplia discografía.
Entrábamos ya en la recta final con Reincidentes interpretando casi exclusivamente temas de sus primeros álbumes.
Con Betagarri tuvimos el placer de bailar durante casi una hora a ritmo de ska de gran calidad, sin duda, uno de los grandes del Aupa Lumbreiras.
Ya con las fuerzas mermadas asistimos a la descarga de los madrileños Habeas Corpus cuyo hardcore atronador nos dejó boquiabiertos y sirvió de perfecto punto y final para nuestra aventura por Tobarra. Esperamos poder volver en el 2009.

Balance Final:
Lo bueno: la gran acogida por parte de los lugareños y el trato que recibimos. La zona de acampada sombreada con aseos bastante cuidados y unas prácticas duchas, disponía también de servicio de bebida, comida y hielo a precios razonables y un poco más barato que dentro del recinto. Finalmente, el buen rollo reinante entre el público y la ausencia de incidentes de importancia.

Lo malo: la zona de público, que esta vez no era de tierra sino de enormes piedras destrozó los pies de los asistentes tras infinidad de horas de pie disfrutando de las actuaciones. También la distancia entre el escenario y el público era excesiva. Por otro lado, el sonido de los conciertos era bastante deficiente, cosa que habría que solucionar, sin duda, para futuras ediciones.

Das alternative Musikschaffen in Spanien wurde in den frühen 80er Jahren noch stark von La Movida, der kulturellen Gegenbewegung in der post-franco Zeit, geprägt. Wer gerne mehr darüber lesen mag, sei hier auf den ersten Teil dieses Blogs verwiesen:

La Movida gab der Musikszene kreativen Schub und einte sie. Diese Aufbruchstimmung, die sich in der Zeit des Übergangs Spaniens zur Demokratie verbreitete und die alles umfassende neue Freiheit, die ausgekostet werden musste, all dies spiegelte sich auch in der Musik.

In der zweiten Hälfte der 80er Jahre ging die Dynamik und Energie der Bewegung ein wenig verloren. Dafür gewannen neue Strömungen aus dem britischen und amerikanischen Raum auch in Spanien weiter an Einfluss. Zu den „Überlebenden“ gesellten sich neue Bands, die merklich vom Indiepop und Britrock der Insel oder vom Grunge und Hardcore Amerikas beeinflusst waren.

Ähnliches passierte auch im direkten Umfeld der Musik. Zu den bereits bestehenden Plattenfirmen im Alternativbereich wie z.B. DRO und Tres Cipreses kamen neue Labels hinzu, die diese aufstrebenden Bands vertrieben. Besonders erwähnt seien hier Subterfuge und Elefant Records. Medial verbreitet wurde das alternative Musikschaffen neben Radio 3 (siehe erster Blog-Teil) vor allem durch unzählige Fanzines und den zwei Monatszeitschriften Rockdelux http://www.rockdelux.es/ und Mondosonoro http://www.mondosonoro.com/

Eine kleine Auswahl an Bands dieser Zeit möchte ich gerne ein bisschen genauer vorstellen. Ich beschränke mich wiederum auf Bands und Künstler, die in Spanisch singen. Dies einzig, weil die Sprache der primäre Grund war, mich mit Spanien zu beschäftigen. Die Sprache war mein Zugang zu Spanien. Und dann gibt es ja noch diejenigen, die baskisch, katalanisch, galizisch usw. singen. Und natürlich auch englisch. Am Schluss des Blogs werde ich eine (unvollständige) Liste mit weiteren Bands aufführen, die in dieser Epoche aktiv waren. Da hat es dann auch einige englisch-gestimmte Künstler darunter.

Lagartija Nick

Lagartija Nick starteten ihre Karriere steil. Gleich mit ihrem 1991 erschienen Debütalbum Hipnosis schaffte es die Gruppe aus Granada in die Indie-Bestenlisten und wurde von Kritikern wie Publikum als hoffnungsvoller Newcomer gefeiert. 17 Jahre später, nach 9 Alben, unzähligen Konzerten, diversen Umbesetzungen und verschiedener Stilexperimente gehören Lagartija Nick immer noch zu den wichtigsten Vertretern des spanischen Indierock. Dies zeigten sie einmal mehr mit ihrem im letzten Jahr erschienen Album El shock de Leia.

Die Band experimentierte im Verlaufe ihrer Karriere mit Elementen aus den verschiedensten Stilrichtungen wie Noise, Punk, Industrial, Garage, Psicodelica und Flamenco und schafften es dabei trotzdem, sich selbst treu zu bleiben und den eigenen Stil weiterzuentwickeln.

1992 erschien ihr zweites Album Inercia. Für viele Kritiker ihr bestes Album. Die Band war gereift, hatte ihren Sound klarer definiert, geblieben sind die rauen und ungestimmten Gitarren, dazu kamen das gute Gefühl für Songstrukturen und die bemerkenswerten Texte von Antonio Arias (Gesang und Bass). Er war durch die ganze Bandgeschichte der Motor des Projektes und über die ganze Zeit das einzige konstante Mitglied der Band.

Ihr drittes Album, Su, wurde 1994 veröffentlicht und ist ihr wohl dunkelstes Album und auch ein Wendepunkt. Ab diesem Album tönte ihr Sound dunkler, härter und schmutziger als zuvor.

Das innovativste Album jedoch bleibt wohl das im Jahre 1996 erschienene OMEGA. Auf diesem Album rezitiert der Falmenco Sänger Enrique Morente Gedichte von Federico Garcia Lorca und Songs von Leonard Cohen im Rhythmus von Flamenco und begleitet von Flamenco-Musikern und der Musik von Lagartija Nick. Diese Mischung aus Flamenco und düsterem Rock und Metal löste in der spanischen Musikwelt ein riesiges Echo aus, sowohl beim Publikum wie auch bei den Kritikern.

Mit ihrem letzten Album El shock de Leia (2007) meldeten sich Lagartija Nick eindrücklich zurück. Nach Alben mit weniger Erfolg wurden sie von vielen Kritikern bereits zur Musikgeschichte gezählt. Doch diesem Album wird nachgesagt, dass es das Werk der Band komplett mache und ihm Sinn gebe. Es ist ein Album von feiner Struktur geworden, dass vielleicht hilft, die stilistischen Ausflüge der Vergangenheit zu verstehen.

Surfin' Bichos

Die in Albacete gegründete Band Surfin' Bichos veröffentlichte zwischen 1988 und ihrer Auflösung 1995 vier offizielle Alben. Ihr Stil ist zu Beginn ihres Schaffens noch stark von der Musik der spanischen 80er Bands beeinflusst, aber auch von Bands wie The Velvet Underground, Violent Femmes oder Nick Cave. Weiter gehören sie mit zu den spanischen Pionieren, die in ihre Musik Noise-Elemente im Stile von Sonic Youth oder den Pixies einfliessen liessen. Ein Höhepunkt in der Bandgeschichte waren bestimmt 1992 die Konzerte als Vorgruppe von Nirvana während deren Nevermind-Tour in Spanien.

Nach der Auflösung 1995 gründeten drei Bandglieder die Band mecromina und Sänger und Gitarrist Fernando Alfaro spielte bei Chucho weiter.

Kortatu / Negu Gorriak / Fermín Muguruza

Kortatu wurde 1984 von den Brüdern Fermín und Iñigo Muguruza gegründet. Diese zwei sollten mit ihren Projekten die spanische Musikszene noch lange unterhalten. Die Legende besagt, dass Kortatu gegründet wurde, nachdem die Gebrüder Muguruza in San Sebastián The Clash live gesehen haben. Und the Clash waren bestimmt einer der wichtigsten Einflüsse von Kortatu, weiter gehörten sie in Spanien zu den ersten die Ska in ihren Punk und Hardcore einfliessen liessen.

Alle Muguruza Projekte waren und sind immer auch politische Projekte. Sie machten nie ein Geheimnis daraus, dass sie sich zur links-autonomen Szene zählen und provozierten mit ihren Texten und Stellungsnahmen verschiedene Diskussionen und Polemiken. So wurde ihnen auch vorgeworfen, dass sie öffentlich zur Unterstützung der ETA oder der Unabhängigkeit des Baskenlandes aufrufen.

Nach der Auflösung von Kortatu im Jahre 1988 gründeten Iñigo und Fermín Muguruza die Band Negu Gorriak. Sie gehörten mit ihrer Mischung aus Rock, Punk, Ska, Reggae, Rap und traditioneller baskischer Musik zu den Mitbegründer der Musica mestizaje. Viele weitere Bands sollten ihrem Beispiel folgen und die Palette um immer neue Stile erweiterten: Flamenco, Latin, galizisch/keltische oder nordafrikanische Einflüsse.

Bis zu ihrer Auflösung im Jahre 1996 veröffentlichte Negu Gorriak sechs Studioalben und spielten Konzerte in ganz Spanien, Europa, Süd- und Zentralamerika, darunter auch einige Konzerte in der Schweiz.

Einige Bandmitgliedern schlossen sich anderen Bands an oder gründeten ihre eigenen Projekte und Fermín Muguruza startete eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere. Punk und Hardcore wichen mehrheitlich einem Dub- und Reggae-Mix, angereichert mit Elementen aus Rock, Funk, Soul und Drum and Bass. Daneben spielt er immer wieder mal in Projekten anderer Musiker mit, sei dies als Tourmusiker oder Gastmusiker im Studio. So spielte er mit Manu Chao, Banda Bassotti, Amparanoia, Tijuana in Blue, Albert Pla, Desorden Público oder den Reincidentes.

Aventuras de Kirlian / Le Mans

Aventuras de Kirlian, eine 1985 gegründete Indiepop-Gruppe aus San Sebastián, erlangten in ihrer Karriere nur wenig kommerziellen Erfolg und trotzdem konnten sie einen gewissen Kultstatus erlangen. Mit ihrer Musik beeinflussten sie viele andere spanische Pop-Bands der 90er Jahre und sie waren zusammen mit La Buena Vida und Family die Mitbegründer der sehr aktiven Pop-Bewegung San Sebastiáns, die unter dem Namen sonido donosti oder donosti sound zusammen gefasst wird.

Nachdem die Gruppe sich 1989 auflöste, gründen die Bandmitglieder eine neue Band unter dem Namen Le Mans. Le Mans spielen manchmal akustische, dann wieder elektronische Pop-Songs, in denen sie ironische Alltags-Geschichten und persönliche Anekdoten erzählen. 1998 löste sich die Gruppe nach vier veröffentlichten Studioalben auf.

Los Piratas

Los Piratas waren eine Pop-Rock Gruppe aus Vigo, Galizien. 1990 gegründet änderten sie ihren Stil im Laufe ihrer Karriere immer mehr von Pop zu klassischem Rock mit Alternative-Anleihen. Für viele Kritiker waren Los Piratas schwer zu fassende Grenzgänger: zu kommerziell für die Indie-Kreise und zu alternativ für den Mainstream. Bis zu ihrer Auflösung im Jahre 2003 veröffentlichten sie fünf Studio- und zwei Live-Alben.

Zuerst aus ihrem zweiten Album Poligamía ihre erste landesweite Hymne Promesas que no valen nada und danach eine Version von My Way, das dank einem Werbespot ebenfalls landesweit bekannt wurde.







Los Hermanos Dalton

Los Hermanos Dalton sind eine Indie-Pop/Rock-Gruppe aus Cadíz, Andalusien. Sie wurden 1991 von den drei Brüdern Oneto gegründet. Der Hinweis auf die Gebrüder Dalton aus Lucky Luke hat also durchaus seine Berechtigung. Bis 2002 liessen sie vier Alben mit schnellem, frischem und witzigen Power Pop mit Punk-Essenz auf ihr Publikum los und spielten Konzerte in allen Ecken des Landes, all die grossen Festivals inklusive.

BAP!!

BAP!!, ebenfalls eine baskische Band, waren die wohl wichtigsten Vertreter der spanischen Hardcore-Szene und mit Kortatu die Mitbegründer der harten baskischen Musikszene, die unter dem Namen Rock Radikal Vasco zusammengefasst wurde. BAP!! wurden 1984 gegründet und veröffentlichten bis zu ihrer Auflösung 1996 drei Studioalben. Der Namen BAP!! steht für die Abkürzung Brigada Anti Polizialak, was ja kaum übersetzt werden muss.

La Buena Vida

Mit der 1988 gegründeten Band La Buena Vida bleiben wir gleich im Baskenland. Sie werden der baskischen Pop-Bewegung donosti sound oder sonido donosti zugerechnet und sind bis heute eine respektierte Grösse des spanischen Indie-Pop geblieben.

Sie spielen mehrheitlich akustischen Pop, dennoch kann ihre Karriere grob in zwei Etappen eingeteilt werden. In ihren ersten Jahren spielten sie einen Pop, der noch stark von Bands aus den 60ern beeinflusst war: Love, Beatles, Beach Boys, The Velvet Underground, das ganze mit einem Hang zu Bossa Nova und Soul. Die Texte erzählten Geschichten aus dem Alltag junger Leute und dies auf eine natürliche, leicht naive und unschuldige Weise und mit melancholischem Unterton.

Mit ihrem dritten Album Soidemersol (1997) kam ein neues Element in ihre Musik. Fortan verwendeten sie in vielen ihren Stücken ausgefeilte Orchesterteile. Auch die Texte wurden reifer, ihre Reflexionen komplizierter und vielfach ist eine gewisse Verbittertheit der jungendlichen Unschuld in ihren Texten gewichen.

Seit ihrer Gründung hat die Band bisher 8 Studioalben veröffentlicht. Das Aktuellste stammt aus dem letzten Jahr.

Los Enemigos

Los Enemigos wurden 1995 in Madrid gegründet und waren bis zu ihrer Auflösung im Jahre 2002 während fast zwanzig Jahren eine der aktivsten Rockbands Spaniens. Was sie spielen, wird in Spanien auch Rock urbano genannt, klassischer Rock, dreckig gespielt und mit treffenden Worten untermalt. Einen grossen Teil ihres Erfolges haben Los Enemigos sicher ihrem charismatischen Sänger und Gitarristen Josele Santiago zu verdanken, der mit seiner Stimme die Musik der Band prägte.

Well I found This Journal Entry and I found it interesting, and because of that, I'm gonna kind of copy it xD but since I have a really bad memory and it's hard for me to select a favorite song, I'll just talk about the band and how I "discovered" it.

1. Leusemia
Well you can read the bio for info about this one (I wrote it), this has been my favorite band for years, I pretty much have almost all of their original albums, and this is the band that got me into progressive rock.
A friend of mine in High school told me to listen to their 2nd album (which isn't progressive) and well I've been listening to them since then.
Recommended album: Hospicios.

2. Pearl Jam
Another band that I got into in High school, thanks to the same friend who recommended me Leusemia.
Favorite album: No Code.

3. Primus
And yet another band I discovered in High school years, the first one I listened was Antipop which I really liked (and still like), but didn't got me too much into Primus, it would be in recent years that I would like it more and there you have it on my top 3 (even tough I like some other bands more).

4. Daniel F
Leusemia's singer and front man, his solo music is pretty different to Leusemia, but even so I love it.
Favorite album: Memorias desde Vesania.

5. Rafo Raez
A guy who never stops experimenting and well his albums are kind of unpredictable since he doesn't like to do the same thing on every album, good composer and good singer.

6. King Crimson
I discovered this one recently, some months ago maybe, and I got in love with this band instantly, 21st Century Schizoid Man is a good way to start knowing a band you know.

7. Red Hot Chili Peppers
Well since this band is heavily played in radios and tv everywhere is hard not to know them, but well my favorite songs are on their kind of early albums (from The Uplift Mofo Party Plan to the next ones) even tough I love most of them.
I got into those albums thanks to the same friend mentioned in previous lines xD
Favorite album: Mother's Milk.

8. The Beatles
Another band that is impossible not to know them, and I just listenned to their discography recently, because I just didn't want to know the hits, good music there.
Favorite album: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

9. Iron Maiden
Well another band that it's kind of hard not to know them, and a really fucking great one, I got to know them in High school years thanks to a friend that was like 3 years younger than me maybe, didn't got into it at that time since I was recently getting into rock music, now after a lot of years this band is growing on me and I'm gonna see them live next year =D.
Btw they were in like top 23 three days ago xD amazing.
Favorite album: Powerslave.

10. The Smashing Pumpkins
Not too much to say about them, I just like their music a lot and they're pretty much a great band, but not a fan.

11. Rafo Raez y los Paranoias
Rafo Raez' recorded an album with their touring musicians and made a great debut album and their second one was pretty good too.

12. Therion
Got into this one recently, I always saw their name in other people's charts, so I got curious about them and well... I loved them, I like both of their styles but I like their symphonic stuff better.
Favorite album: Theli.

13. Reincidentes
A spanish friend told me about this one, he made me listen to their song Vicio and I got kind of addicted to it, so I got myself their discography and they're very good from their fifth album.

14. Pink Floyd
If you like progressive rock/music is impossible not to know them, with that said, they're just simply awesome.

15. Tool
Another one I knew about when I was in High school, I first heard Schism and then got myself their album Lateralus, but since it was "weird stuff" for me in those years didn't get too much into it until recent years.
Favorite album: Ænima.

16. Kreator
Well Thrash metal is one of my favorites metal sub-genres, so listening to these guys was a must, but they're this high just because their discography is a really long one, good stuff anyway to anyone who likes Thrash metal.

17. Vintersorg
Pokemare recommended me this one since he knew I'm into prog stuff, even tough he doesn't like them xD and I'm very thankful he did, is a great prog metal band (a loud one I must say).
Favorite album: Solens rötter.

18. Genesis
Another must listen for every prog fan, Peter Gabriel's era is pretty much what I only like about them, even tough I like their first album from the Collins era (And Then There Were Three), hope I'm not mistaken about this one being the first :P).
Even with that said, I love the song That's All, is so catchy.
Favorite album: Selling England By The Pound.

19. Slayer
Great fucking band! Like their classic stuff more than the new one, even tough I like their Christ Illusion.
Recommended album: Every album except God Hates Us All and Diabolus in musica.

20. Turbopótamos
An interesting band that mixes ska with rockabilly, they call it skabilly, I like this band but probably is going down on my charts :P

Fri 27 Apr – Viña Rock 2007

NOTA: Si esperas leer una crónica pseudo-profesional, o si eres un fan de Stravaganzza, mejor dale al botón "back" de tu navegador.

Podría hablar de la lluvia (¿sabíais que ha sido el mes de abril más lluvioso en Castellón de los últimos 20 años? Manda cojones), de lo asquerosamente mal pensados que estaban los accesos al recinto del festival o de lo difícil-tirando-a-imposible que fue en muchos momentos hacerse con un miserable bocadillo, pero voy a centrarme más en la música en sí:

-Gojira - Fue el primer grupo que vi, y me cagüen dios, lo buenos que son estos gabachos. Buenísimas canciones y mejor ejecución, así como simpatía y buenas "coreografías". Para un servidor, la mayor sorpresa del festival (sorpresa positiva, la negativa fueron los patéticos Stravaganzza)

-Despistaos - A estos les vi porque no había otra cosa que hacer. Música a lo canto del loco, pero quizás un poco más guitarrero (sólo un poco). El cantante me cayó bien al día siguiente, al verle fuera del escenario, mezclado con nosotros, la sufrida prole.

-Stravaganzza - Lo más patético que he visto en mi vida, y eso que he tenido la oportunidad de ver a Helloween sobre un escenario. ¿Qué coño han hecho estos para conseguir tocar en el viña? Lo pregunto porque conozco a uno de los organizadores del viña y me consta que no le felaron. Y bueno, en el aspecto musical, decir que durante la media canción que les vi sólo sentí vergüenza ajena al principio, luego sólo una risa incontrolable. Me pregunto si el pavo ese que cantaba se ha visto grabado en vídeo poniendo esas voces de falsete tan tristes y patéticas. Algo está podrido en el jebi patrio cuando grupos como este consiguen contratos discográficos.

-Bebe - A esta la vi porque me vi obligado a abandonar el escenario donde tocaban los stracagadda. Esta pava toca una música que está a años luz de cualquier estilo musical que me guste, pero en comparación con los otros me pareció una diosa, un ángel, un regalo divino, y eso pese a osar versionear el Jesucristo García de Extremoduro. Aunque bueno, hablar bien de Bebe tras ver Stramierdaza debe ser como hablar bien de Tamara en la cama justo después de haber sido sodomizado por una manada de rinocerontes. En varias ocasiones casi nos dejó verle las tetillas, lo cual fue de agradecer, claro.

-Medina Azahara - A Medina Azahara les vi sólo porque me picaba la curiosidad, aunque he de reconocer que no estuvieron tan mal. En momentos aburrieron a las cabras, pero tocaron las 3 únicas canciones que todos conocemos, y con eso bastó. El cantante parecía sacado de una cabalgata de reyes (clavadito al rey Melchor, oiga), pero era majete el "chavalillo".

-Moonspell - Con Moonspell tengo una cita cada 5 años. Les vi en el 97 en el estadio de la Peineta, 2002 en Moncofa y ahora en Benicàssim, y he de reconocer que cada vez me han gustado más. Tuve que irme a 20 minutos del final a recoger a una colega que acababa de llegar de Madrid, lo cual me jodió sobremanera, pero me fui con buen sabor de boca, por el sonido, el set-list, el ambiente que crearon, la voz de Fernando....

-Rosendo - Sólo pude ver las últimas 5 canciones, y me encantó. El tito Rosendo estuvo como siempre, más bien sobrio, pero profesional y entrañable. No faltó ese "se os quiere" que siempre suelta al final de sus conciertos y que a mí siempre me hace especial ilusión (el amor correspondido es lo más bonito, supongo)

Aquí ya me fui para el apartamento, que el cansancio ya hacía mella, así como la ropa mojada, que además sólo faltaban los yayos del metal, Barón Rojo, y no me apetecía verles.

-SKIZOO - Primer grupo del sábado para mí. Buen sonido y tal, pero no son de mi estilo. El cantante me pareció un poco, no sé, pretencioso? "Quiero ver ahora un bosque de majestuosos cuernos" me pareció una frase innecesaria.

-Los Suaves - Unos cuantos problemas de sonido al principio, y un Yosi más sobrio de lo habitual fue lo más destacable de un concierto con un set-list bien elegido, en mi opinión. No esperaba yo que tocasen 3 canciones del San Francisco Express en un concierto de sólo una hora, pero yo tan contento con eso, claro.

-Koma - Aquí empezaron los problemas serios con la lluvia. De todas formas, Koma se marcaron un concierto perfecto, lleno de buen rollo y de agradecimiento al público por aguantar la que nos estaba cayendo. Lo único malo de su concierto no fue culpa suya: un tremendo apagón total en todo Benicàssim nos dejó sin música y completamente a oscuras. Algunos gritaban "Villarobledo!!!", otros "vamos a saquear las barras!!", pero a los 3 minutos volvió la luz y Koma tuvieron tiempo de tocar la última, aunque eso sí, por el apagón no pudieron tocar "Bienvenidos a Degüelto", lo cual casi me provoca ganas de llorar. Bravo por los navarros, los putos amos.

Después de esto tocó refugiarse en las carpas de la comida, al borde de la hipotermia, y aunque aún faltaban por tocar Soziedad Alkoholika, un servidor decidió irse de vuelta al apartamento, con una mala hostia del copón. Pero bueno, al día siguiente me encontré con la grata sorpresa de que cancelaron su concierto (entre otros, como el de Mago de Oz, pero esos que se jodan) y lo habían transladado al domingo :)

-Ratos de Porão - Mi domingo empezó con estos brasileños, a los que tenía muchísimas ganas de ver, y no defraudaron en absoluto. Energía y mala hostia a raudales, sin que se notaran en absoluto sus 25 años sobre los escenarios.

-The Locos - El nuevo proyecto de algún ex-miembro de Ska-P me pareció más bien aburrido, y a la segunda canción me fui a buscar papeo y bebida.

-Hamlet - Nada que objetar, un buen show, con buen sonido y con un Molly hiperactivo y muy cercano al público.

-Soziedad Alkohólika - Gracias, ViñaRock por atreveros a traer a los S.A., gracias, S.A., por querer tocar un día más tarde de lo previsto. Uno de los conciertos más brutalmente perfectos que he visto en mi vida. Sacrificaron un par de clásicos para tocar algunos temas poco habituales, lo cual yo agradecí muchísimo. Tocaron 4 temas del intoxikazión etílika y otros 6 del S.A., lo cual ya dice mucho. Otros temas no muy habituales que tocaron fueron "No keda nada" y "Angustia", dos temazos que no suelen tocar mucho en directo. Terminaron, como no, con Nos vimos en Berlín, y con todo el viña dejándose la voz en ese final apoteósicamente anti-sionista. Yo acabé con los pelos como escarpias, y con lágrimas de emoción. Los 69 € de la entrada, así como todo el sufrimiento en los dos primeros días ya tenían su recompensa.

-Fermín Muguruza - Tras el concierto de S.A. yo ya estaba demasiado kapputt como para ir a otro concierto, pero vi desde lejos al Muguruza con su reagge, que tampoco es que me guste demasiado, pero bueno, se deja escuchar. Lo mejor, como no, la última canción, dedicada a S.A. y a los organizadores por sus cojones, un "sarri sarri" (kortatu) que celebraron todos los asistentes.

-Reincidentes - Buen concierto de los andaluces. Me reencontré con mis años de insitituto mientras cantaba "vicio", "nazis nunca más", "jartos de aguantar", "cucaracha blanca" y demás temas de esa época.

-Ill Niño - Un coñazo, y a ver si para la próxima vez se enteran de que a los españoles (o al menos a la gente que va a estos festivales) no nos tiene por qué gustar el flamenco.

Y nada, eso fue todo lo que vi. Si nos ceñimos a lo estrictamente musical, todo perfecto, salvo por los pringaos de stravaganzza. Iros al peo.
