1. How did you get into 29?
I think I might have heard YUI for the first time in one of Bleach's OPs or EDs. But some time later ahead, Mery-chan [ grigph ] showed me one of her videos on youtube and it grew on me.

Frank Sinatra. haha this is tricky xD...I can't really remember, but it's probably "I Get a Kick Out of You" "Singing in the rain" or "Let it snow"

菅野よう子 - Sad Moon and Shiro, Long Tail's

5. What is your favorite song by 5?
Do As Infinity – Wings 510. The lyrics go really well with the notes. It's a really optimistic song.

コブクロ - Wadachi -Street stroke. It's one of the most joyful songs I've ever heard. It's really dynamic, and the lyrics are so catchy...even if you might not understand them.

7. What is your favorite song by 10?
Vienna Teng. This is tough...I love almost all of her songs. But maybe Blue Caravan/Eric's song/My Medea - I can't really decide between them.

8. What is a good memory you have involving 30?
melody. - Realize - The opening theme for the Japanese drama Dragon Zakura. It's a happy song...reminds me of high school whenever I listen to it.

松居慶子 - Steps of Maya. I'm not sure if it's a happy feeling, but I really like the song.

増田俊郎. Two favorite songs: 朝 (morning) and 夕暮れ(evening/dusk)

동방신기. Though it's really hard to say, couse I never really like more than 4-5 songs per album when it comes to them, I'd say that maybe Rising Sun? just because I think hteir old sound was better than the new....probably.

I could never pick. 梶浦由記 (Yuki Kajiura) is one of the BEST contemporary composers out there. I've known her from when she was part of See-Saw, and loved her works ever since. I'm just going to post only a few names, but I love really all of her songs: flower, himitsu, dewdrops, guess how much I love you, Jr, fake garden...and many more.

Epik High - Pieces, part one. I've only heard them a couple of weeks ago for the first time, but they grew on me really fast xD...already close to hitting 1000 plays from them ^^

佐藤直紀. I'm not that familiar with too many of his albums. What I know best is the soundtrack he composed for X TV (the anime), which is truly amazing.

いきものがかり - Blue Bird. I always get a light feeling when I listen to it...like I could fly any moment.

Bosko is a San Francisco Bay Area-based hip-hop producer who has worked with prominent MCs such as E-40 and Keak Da Sneak and he released his "singing debut" album, The Good Life Movement, this March on his own record label. You may have been a bit tired of hip-hop artists singing, but unlike all the recent Auto-Tuned rappa-ternt-sanga efforts, this album is filled with a good mellow funk/soul tracks where Bosko actually sings with his silky falsetto as well as raps and uses the Talk Box. Even though this album contains only 8 tracks and should have been lengthened with three or four more tracks, it's already great enough to at least prove that Bosko is a talented multi-vocalist as well as a producer and multi-instrumentalist.

Pleasure P, former lead singer of Miami-based group Pretty Ricky, just released his solo debut album The Introduction of Marcus Cooper, which was led by the hit single "Boyfriend #2." After about two years since his departure from the group, Pleasure has grown and developed as a singer (and seemingly also as a man) and easily delivered a full-length album with limited guest appearances including Yung Joc on the opning track. Tank and Rico Love, both of who are producers and songwriters as well as singers themselves, provided the best moments of the entire album on such songs as "Under," "Let Me"and "Your Love." Other contributors for this album include Adonis Shropshire, The Co-Stars and the late Static Major from Playa.

"The Ivory Queen of Soul" Teena Marie is back with her latest CD, Congo Square. After two commercially and critically successful Cash Money releases, Lady T signed with Memphis' Stax Records and delivered this great masterpiece, which is probably better than the previous two efforts. During its 16-track and 73-minute duration, this album has a variety of songs from slow funk and straight jazz to G-funk and more modern-sounding R&B with the frequent use of drum machines such as TR-808. And not only does almost every song on it have a modern edge and wide appeal, Teena's vocals seem to be even better than before and has a richer and smoother texture.

One of the most successful groups in the Japanese hip-hop history RIP SLYME just released their long-awaited new album, JOURNEY, last week. Led by the hit singles like "太陽とビキニ" and "STAIRS," this album is more rock-oriented and guitar-heavy than any of their previous ones and has a musical approach that is obviously different from a bit disappointing Funfair. At least, they seem to be more focused and it has turned out to be a better result. Also, although I just want DJ FUMIYA to produce every RIP SLYME song as I wrote before, PES-produced up-tempo track "Journey" is definitely one of the highlights on this album.

The Lady Sails - Hmm...Jude the Obscurer. Randomly, on the acoustic guitar-driven album, is this piano-heavy piece. There's something about the combination of piano and percussion that makes it very pleasant to the ear, and it's a very calm track. It's free, too, so give it a listen.
