just a few songs i was really digging this year.

01. Cryin' - Aerosmith.
.. discovered during schoolies in november 2007 while watching the movie be cool (in which Aerosmith perform it), then couldn't get enough of it during the whole next year. it became one of my favourite songs to date.

02. Bennie And The Jets - Elton John.
.. fell in love with this song after watching 27 dresses in january 08.

03. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey.
.. i think i got into this song after watching an episode of scrubs with it in. it helped me to not stop believing.

04. So Lonely - The Police.
.. even though this song is about being lonely, it's still a really great, upbeat song. i didn't really listen to the police much later on in the year, but during the first few months they played a significant part in my summer.

05. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses.
.. this song played another big part in my summer. we danced to it on new years, played it many a time on guitar hero, and belted out the lyrics whenever it came on in my car on the way to parties and the movies.

06. I Want You - Bob Dylan.
.. i discovered this song at work, when a co-worker heard it and turned it up because he liked it. then i saw it on the movie about Bob Dylan's life i'm not there and have been in love with it since.

07. Better Things - The Kinks.
.. first heard this song while driving to my best friend's 18th birthday party. i instantly liked it because it described exactly how i felt at the time, and ever since i've listened to it when i'm not feeling so great.

08. Today - The Smashing Pumpkins.

.. amazing song...i don't know how many times this song has inspired me.

.. another absolutely amazing song by an amazing band. words can't describe how i feel about this song - it's beautiful.

12. If I Ever Leave This World Alive - Flogging Molly.
.. discovered in ps i love you. i just love the irishness. and i guess (because of the movie) it assures that there is life after loss.

13. Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis.
.. only discovered this song in november sometime during a great night out. me and my friends were seeing the daisycutters and while they were playing there was an insane storm outside that cut power to most of the city and did huge amounts of damage. after the band we went to a pub that had power and we had some drinks. during the night my friends kept singing this song and since then i have been in love with it. it's amazing.

.. i downloaded this song by accident when i was downloading some songs by The Velvet Underground. turns out to be one of the best mistakes i've made in awhile because i can't stop listening to it. the song has kind of a relaxing dreamy feel to it.
