Love Pink Floyd, i do think that they brought to music something new, and this something new had a great impact on minds of the decades because of the deepness of though and understandability. Btw like performances a great indeed, sometime they r even better than studio record. Do advice to watch Like at Pompeii video, fucking amazing it is.

not 1, not 2...but 104 million plays!! insane!...what a band. Darkside of the moon relaxes and haunts me at the same time...the intro gives you a taster to the album..has essences of all the tunes to come...just listen to "great gig in the sky". a beautiful start, talk of death, then to a screaming orgasm - only this band could do that. the action is contrary to its desired effect. talk of morbidity then to a vocal which takes the song to another world...brilliance. "Money" is such a terrific track - solo heaven, rolling onto "us and them" seamlessly...as does the rest of the album. Dark side of the moon captures a generation and a moment that will never be created again. not in this day and age. only recreated when listening to the album. amazing!

I know they had much better songs but it's not a surprise for me, that "wish you were here" is their most popular song here on last.fm - it's still great piece of music and probably one of most important songs of all time.

Some obvious diffs between the first two albums and the others....First two albums would be great if were more well thought out...I like the first two albums alot but sum trax annoy me b/c they really couldve done so much more....Later werkings are good but didnt hav ethe same experimental soundscapes.
