Bagels / Cupcakes .. NYC show Amazing!!!. Thank you Perfume.

    The New York show was amazing! [2] Incredibly happy to have been a part of that, simply unforgettable. When they started Polyrhythm and the room exploded in hype, I had never felt so alive. I think everyone, especially Perfume, was stunned by the turn out. I was going too crazy the entire time to take anything but none of the photos or videos I've seen really do justice to the amount of excitement that was in that room. And the way we swarmed the goods shop afterwards ;_;

i thought the floor was going to cave in at the new york show. that's how good it was

Hold Your Hand got stuck in there for a while since the UK show, but Dream Fighter has taken over since.

Also can't get Hold Your Hand out of my head since they performed it.

Agreed on Ijiwaru na Hello too. It's probably the best song they've had since Hurly Burly.

Ijiwaru na Hello is still the strongest track on the single. I agree about Display though, it had a lot of potential and didn't meet much of it.

v those parts have been my favourite since the start.

I've changed my mind about Cling Cling after listening multiple times. I love the bit when they sing ''I will cling to your chest'' and it gets more upbeat ugh why do I always end up liking all of their songs.

Display is the weakest track on ClingCling imo, even though the CM teaser we got was amazing the rest of the song didn't go anywhere. Here's hoping it gets the album mix it deserves.

I've liked Cling Cling since it came out, but Hold Your Hand has been in my head since they played it. I used to think it was a clear weakest track on the single but after seeing it live I'm not so sure.

I enjoy Cling Cling more now that I've seen it live, but I doubt it'll ever be a song that I love. Hold Your Hand was perfect in the setlist though, especially after all the energetic tracks.

The fact about GLITTER is also true. A lot of back and forths, can't keep up with them, oh my god why can't i stop trying, WHY do i like this :p

the funniest thing is, I used to hate Hold Your Hand before but after seeing it live I'm addicted. don't think I can say the same about Cling Cling though, still not convinced as to that one..

Agreed, he also has the inborn ability to make the most genius melodies and rhythms sound like the product of an ambitious simpleton. I find Glitter to be the most cerebrally demanding song from my charts.

This man (Yasutaka Nakata) has an inborn ability - to create countless rhythms and tying them perfectly together - which at first may seem like a sort of paranoia, but is a generous trip for those that try to understand it.

Yeah, nobody sat down. As soon as it started everyone just stood up. Fantastic show though, good setlist throughout, fun MC's (Nocchi's English is really good now) and even the audience were pretty well behaved compared to a lot of gigs I've been at. I think there was a no recording policy in play but it wasn't being enforced, but it was considerably less common than usual as well.

Love that they were all really funny and plenty of chatting (though mostly in Japanese, but half the crowd understood). Don't know why these things are all seated when no one sits down for these kinda shows! A lot of fun.

come to think of it, even if someone wanted to record the concert they would have to have a really good quality camera - my friend recorded a bit of some of the performances on her phone and the quality was really shit (especially the audio since it was SO loud in the venue it couldn't help to be buffered on video).

  • veracities

there wasn't really any restrictions or warnings (not that I heard/saw) when it came to recording at the UK show, but luckily the people were respectful enough to only take a couple shots now and then and no one really obscured anyone's view. Lmao I even took my heels off in mind of the people behind me.

Plenty of people were recording at the LA show even though staff asked people in advance not to. It was awkward trying to look over them so I disliked it because of that.

London gig was AMAZING. Loved the atmosphere and the girls made me proud, the flawlessness of the lives was delightful. Man, what can I say, they're just cute as fuck. A-chan almost made me tear up during the goodbye speech too. I'm so in love. Hope to see them again some day!

They didn't play my favourite song in the London gig :( Other than that it's awesome

honestly the main complaint I've seen coming from the LA audience is about the "no recording" thing, which is valid but at the same time it's a normal thing here in the US, and it's also thing that happens from the Japanese audiences sometimes too, so I mean, it is what it is. I am excited for a potential tour DVD though

LA show was great if not for a few minor grips which you can read on tumble-r or elsewhere. Hope people keep in mind that other countries' audiences aren't like the Japanese ones

Not having staples is arguably a good thing though. I like it when artists put on a show without their regular tried and tested material. Looking forward to seeing them tonight~

Yeah the concert was great. Setlist was really strong despite not having some staples. They MC'ed for a really long time despite the language barrier.

the concert itself was amazing. I don't want to give stuff away for people who are gonna see them on one of the other tour stops, but let me tell you it is 100% worth it to get there super early so you can get to the front of the stage. We were so close that A-chan reached out and high-fived someone in the audience. The setlist was amazing too, they performed some songs I didn't expect, and I was really pleasantly surprised.

v Yeah I arrived at 6pm at the willcall line for the PTA ticket lottery pickup and they sent us allllll the way back to the end of the line with everybody else who had gotten general admission tickets. It circled around the block twice so by the time me and the other PTA ticket winners got into the venue the show was about to start and the room was absolutely packed. If I had known what I know now I would've just gotten a generic ticket and camped out early to get in and get a good spot. I assumed maybe they would've let us in a few minutes before everybody else so we could get some tour merchandise but apparently PTA has zero benefits when it comes to shows..

    Semana passada
  • lightningmonkey

You ended up at the back of the line?! Oh man, I am so sorry. If I'd known, I'd have let you jump in line with my group. I tell you what though, getting into the show in general was a clusterfuck. The staff at the Palladium sucked. For folks seeing them elsewhere, don't bring backpacks, in case security ends up telling you you have to ditch the backpack before they let you in, I almost got turned back at the door but I flipped my shit at them about it.

I just got back from LA. What. A. Clusterfuck. The PTA staff really dropped the ball for the fanclub members who won the ticket lottery they held months ago. After picking up our tickets we were sent all the way to the back of the general admission line that had been forming since morning like lightningmonkey said. Definitely wasn't a pleasant experience.
