  • Snowgoons - German Show

KRS One, Ill Bill, El da Sensei, O.C., Rasco, Sean Price, Supastition i Reef the Lost Cauze z Army of the Pharaos to tylko niektórzy z nich. Cóż, Talib Kweli i Lil' Wayne robią swoje.

No, może poza numerem "Gunz". Nie zmienia to jednak faktu, iż "German Snow" to naprawdę bardzo dobry album i właśnie dlatego warto go sprawdzić. A nuż Wam się spodoba bardziej niż mi.

  • Organized Konfusion reunites with a surprise guest

    Ago 2 2009, 19h57 por miketao

It's a damn shame Organized Konfusion isn't a household name. It's rare to find one, let alone two superior emcees in any group these days, but Pharoahe Monch and Prince Po are unquestionably two of the all-time greats. The bigger question is usually who is the better emcee of the two, but I won't get into that because, despite the pouring rain, this was the performance I was looking forward to the most at All Points West. No disrespect to The Pharcyde, Q-Tip or Jay-Z, but I've seen all of them multiple times in the past ten years. This was the first show Monch and Po have performed together in the past twelve years, and now backed by theX-Ecutioners DJ Boogie Blind, die-hard fans nodded their heads in appreciation as they came out to 9Xs Out of 10:

Monch and Po traded verses throughout the show like they'd be touring non-stop for years, even quieting rumors about any "supposed" beef among the two, even mentioning love for O.C., who first appeared on their classic, TocarFudge Pudge. I was hoping they were building up a surprise guest appearance and once they did perform "Fudge Pudge," O.C. indeed was introduced and spit his verse while the crowd, myself included, was going nuts in the rain.

But he didn't stop there folks. O.C. proceeded to drop his all-time classic TocarTime's Up, and I officially lost my mind. I got so caught up in the moment, I completely forgot to take pics and the rain was not conducive to phone twittering at all.

After a few more joints, I had to take cover in one of the tents and enjoy the rest of the show from a distance as they continued to keep heads noddin' with more classics like Bring It On, TocarStress and Monch's solo classic,Simon Says. Definitely my most memorable moment from the fest so far.

  • The most underrated albums

    Fev 24 2009, 11h21 por TheAbbott

A journal about the most slept on albums, albums which I consider one of the best but nobody listen to.

    1. Body Of The Life Force

It's just unique. I can't see nothing I could call bad in this. There are nearly 10 or more tracks in which the rhymes are completely outstanding plus the Premo beats are eternal. And I have never seen someone listening to this. Why?

    2. Wild Cowboys

Nobody pays attention to this legend's solo works, everybody just listen to Brand Nubian. Terrible mistake! Sadat is on his best level on this one, doesn't get worse than any Brand Nubian classic. Plus it's incredible sound which I can compare to nothing. Horrible underrated.

    3. Truth Crushed to Earth Shall Rise Again

You'll probably laugh at me because of that one. But why nobody listens to House Of Pain?Because Everlast nowadays is crap. And when somebody somehow plays them, there's only Fine Malt Lyrics in the playlist. Somehow this stays never-checked-out albums by many people. The production is so dope, they have done it better on this even than their second record. It could be the last House Of Pain album but it's definitely must-hear-this album.

    4. The EP

Many people know his 2008 release Absolute Value which is quite good, everybody have heard his best track Remind My Soul but this EP is may be overall his best record! The sound is raw and uncut, his flow is more insane than anywhere and the remix of Ruff Enuff with Afu and Breeze Evahflowin is completely insane.

    5. Chronicle of Two Losers

Here they come, 1996.Is there bad album from this year?Ill stuff, it's just model for golden age rap. Everything from chill to hardcore sound. Better than many of the albums considered best albums of 1996. And as far as I can remember it didn't have 10, 000 plays like 2 months ago.

    6. Don't Go Against the Grain

It's Wu family album. But even big Wu Tang fans haven't heard about this. I consider this top 5 Wu Family albums. This is just everything good you can think about when you hear Wu. Awesome! Less than 1000 listeners...

    7. THE HEALING

One of the best albums from the new school. Recorded in 2005 this brings more positive vibe than nearly any Hip Hop album, mc's pass perfectly together and drop some tight as hell rhymes over dope dope dope production.Kinda soul and jazz influenced, chill and enjoyable sound, guess appearances of Erykah Badu, Little Brother, 9th Wonder.Great sound!

    8. The Natural

Now this guy is...no, not underrated. He's completely forgotten. May be cause there are no news about him for years now. This LP is ill, really creative rhymes. O.C. and Lots Boyz are on this. And Shit's Real is one of the best songs ever.

    9. Which Doobie U B?

Now that's what I call classic. The Funkiest and Wopbabalubop are one of the best DJ Muggs beats ever. The beats are crazy and the rhymes and themes are just hillarious. Something different to hear over perfect beats spitted with perfect flow.Again golden age sound of which I can't never get enough(hope I'm not the only).

    10. Full Capacity

Now this has the least listeners of all(I think about 100). Unexplainable. I'm already too lazy to describe it well but it's just 5/5 album. Somewhere nearly the new Masta Ace's records.

These are albums that I think every Hip Hop fan should have heard and pay more attention to. Well, for those who have listen to them - do you agree with me or not, and why not?
