Set 14 2007, 15h12 por zigzo_pazoruI've never really preferred female singers as a rule. I don't even know why, really, but...I honestly think male singers emote better. Men who might have a hard time expressing themselves in the real world can use their music as an outlet for anger or passion or sadness and they know it's acceptable and alright to do so. Most women don't have problems expressing their feelings outside of their music and so I either don't feel the passion as well or I don't consider it as sincere (a good exception to this is Jewel, who perhaps has the most emotive voice in history) and maybe because of this, I think male voices have a much higher chance of sounding unique and distinctive.
There was a time a few years ago when I refused to listen to anymore female Asian pop stars. They all sounded the same to me--those high-pitched squeaky child-like over-acted voices were annoying and showed no differentiation. Their male colleagues (and girl singers who aren't solo but are in actual bands) fared much better…
