Seeing this band live makes it painfully clear how many fake jackasses involve themselves with hardcore today. When more so called "hardcore" kids show up to see New Found Glory than to any other hardcore show in a town, that is fucking sad. No slight to the band, however. They're always fun, very nice guys. They gave a shout out to a bunch of old local bands that used to play in Tallahassee last night which I thought was really cool of them.

it's funny how this band was cool in the early part of the decade, then they became decidedly UNHIP, and now they're suddenly cool to like again, as it seems to me that hardcore is the new pop-punk, and NFG have always been down with the hardcore scene. saw them last Wednesday and never thought I'd see so many edge kids in camo shorts at an NFG show in my life. they were real solid (even though they played barely anything off Nothing Gold and s/t) and it was fun, even though it made me feel really, really old!
