Neil Leslie Diamond (Brooklyn, Nova Iorque, 24 de janeiro, 1941) é um cantor e compositor dos Estados Unidos da América; teve grande número de hits nos anos 60, 70 e 80 e mantem uma grande multidão de fãs fazendo apresentações ao vivo até hoje.
Nascido numa família judaica, estudou com Barbra Streisand na escola secundarista Abraham Lincoln (e cantando com ela no coro de escola). Aprendeu a tocar guitarra após receber um presente no seu aniversário de dezesseis anos.
Iniciou sua carreira como escritor para Brill Building, e teve sucesso recente com canções como “I’m a Believer” e “A Little Bit Me, a Little Bit You” no The Monkees.
O Neil casou-se com sua professora Jaye Posner e tiveram duas filhas, Marjorie e Elyn. Eles eventualmente divorciaram.

He ROCKS! What is wrong with those people? I don't know how you see where he isn't listened to enough, but I recently joined, and it took all the tracks from my hard drive, and put listening stats, and it says I listened to Neil over a thousand times... LOL I didn't realise! What a great artist.

I've picked up at least 8 Neil CDs in the past month (spanning from a few Uni/MCA albums to Home Before Dark) and I'm just getting started. He's in Houston this Tuesday and I'm hoping a miracle lands me three tickets. If not, there's always Love at the Greek at full volume.

at home we have a casette of his Hot August Night II (Live) album of muy mum's, i guess it is from 70s, when i was a kid, i was used to listen to it after i had found it among my parents' old casettes as my primer rock'n'roll experience. well, so it makes me think of my mum's youth and those times in general :) i have a special connection with neil ;))
