  This band was one of the ones from the old hardcore days that I really liked. You could actually understand the lyrics, for the most part. Suicidal was also great. I liked Black Flag and Minor Threat too. Corrosion was a little screamy and raspy, but I liked them. Bad Brains I wasn't hip too until their experiments with metal. DK I wasn't hip to until high school, but I quickly started to like them too. The Pistols were a summer of 87 thing for me. Agent Orange was another high school introduction for me, as was the Misfits (not really hardcore, I would say, but similar). I'm curious what people think about the 'New Hardcore' movement with bands like Hatebreed and Earth Crisis.... Let me know.
