I think it's gonna be tough to top Sola Scriptura.

The album still sucks though. God, what a disappointment. (Pun intended.)

After listening several times to the new album, I have to say that Neal still has more ideas than a lot of bands like Dream Theater, TheTangent or Ayreon or so. I like the new CD (except "Fly High" maybe)

One, ?, and Sola Scriptura are all in my ten favourite albums of all time. The singles from Lifeline do absolutely nothing for me. :-( I might get Leviathan from iTunes, whenever it goes on...

I think Sola Scriptura evidence enough to say that Neal Morse is a freaky fucking prog genius :D

There were a few bland tracks, but so what?

new album is horrible. Neal needs to stop rehashing and reinvent himself.

Meh, Lifeline is the first time I've agreed with the people who complain that Neal is rehashing ideas. Two, maybe three songs off the album have any interesting moments at all. Only tracks 1,3, and 6 do anything but put me to sleep. I've backed the man for a long time, but I'm starting not to care very much...

I can't say I was that disappointed with the new album, because I wasn't expecting much to begin with. It was still a slight disappointment, because I know what Neal is or at least has been capable of. The album sounds like Neal going through the usual motions with the usual recycled ideas, writing songs with the exact same formula we've heard a thousand times before, and the result is an album just as unremarkable as his previous few. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I think Testimony was his last album that contained some really great writing, although even that album has its share of filler. I just don't hear that wonderfully memorable edge in his songs anymore, which is abundant in Neal-era SB albums. Whatever could have happened? Oh yeah, he started writing songs for his buddy, Jesus. I think his christian albums can be considered the final, definitive proof there is no god.

Er... I was talking about "Lifeline", the song, which is freely available on Neal Morse's official site.

How have you already got Lifeline? :-(

Lifeline's a great album, but can't hold a candle to Sola Scriptura <3

"Jesus understands the heart of every man". Ah... That part is AWESOME. Anyway; yes, Lifeline seems to be great. It's a shame it isn't a concept album.

What a sad world you must live in, Raphaelfaunus. One where its seemingly a crime to use your imagination, or have faith. How do we even know YOU exist? From your scribblings I'm not even sure you would pass a Turing test.
