EM seu priemiro hit Naughty by Nature usou o sampler ”ABC” Jackson 5’s na faixa ”O.P.P.”, que e foi liberado em 1991 em seu álbum auto intitulado Naughty by Nature. A canção chegou ao ponto máximo em #6 the Billboard Hot 100 , fazendo-se uma das canções mais bem-sucedidas do rap na história. A canção também foi aceita na cultura pop, sendo mencionado em exposições de TV e filma tal como The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Malibu’s Most Wanted, . “O.P.P.” também ganhou aclamaçãoda crítica, sendo nomeado um dos top 100 singles do rap de todos os, tempos em 1998 pela revista de The source. E sendo classificado como vigésimo melhor single da decada de 90 pela revista Spin Magazine

O álbum também gerou outro hit chamado “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” (a faixa também foi chamada “Ghetto Bastard” em algumas liberações explícitas). Essa canção detalhou as experiências de Treach crescer em pobreza, e agora eleva-se viver uma melhor vida. Acionou pelo êxito dessa canção e “O.P.P.”, foi intitulado álbum foi platina.
