  • Dos nuevos albums por mi cumpleaños

    Set 18 2008, 22h05 por tinosoft89

    Frank Sinatra - Duets

  • My BELATED Top 100 of 2007

    Abr 29 2008, 23h05 por PGCMc

    TOP 10 albums of 07...

    1. Hilary Duff - Dignity
    2. Britney Spears - Blackout
    3. Sugababes - Change
    4. Girls Aloud - Tangled Up
    5. Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad
    6. Robyn - Robyn
    7. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Trip The Light Fantastic
    8. Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion
    9. Bodies Without Organs - Fabricator
    10.Siobhan Donaghy - Ghosts

The songs that MISSED OUT in no particular order...

Eve featuring Swizz Beatz - Tambourine
    Natasha Bedingfield - Soulmate
    Darren Hayes - Me Myself & I
    Robyn - Handle Me
Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse - Valarie
LeAnn Rimes - Nothin' Better To Do
Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around (Comes Around)
Girls Aloud - Sexy (No No No)
    Beyonce - Greenlight (Freemasons mix)
Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone
The Killers - Read My Mind
Scissor Sisters - She's My Man
    Take That - Shine
Timbaland feat. Justin Timberlake & Nelly Furtado - Give It To Me
Mark Ronson feat. Lily Allen - Oh My God

In no particular order the above is what missed out but I do feel I was abit HARSH with Soulmate by Natasha Bedingfield cos I do really like it & I recently bought the album for £3, it really isn't as bad as its FLOP suggested...Valarie I just think is OK but I have to say it does raise a smile when it comes on the Radio.

    Top 100 of 2007...

100.Freemasons feat. Bailey Tzuke - Univited
    99. Jordin Sparks - This Is My Now
    98. [atist]Dannii Minogue vs Jason Nevins - Touch Me Like That
    97. Róisín Murphy - Overpowered
    96. Mika - Happy Ending
    95. Nicole Scherzinger feat. will.i.am - Baby Love
    94. Kelly Rowland feat. Eve - Like That
    93. Bjork - Earth Intruders
    92. Enrique Iglesias - Tired Of Being Sorry
    91. Amy Winehouse - Tears Dry On Their Own

This Is My Now should probably be higher but I only really GOT IT about the 1st few months of this year...I really love her voice but then again I imagine most of the gays love her OVERSINGING...I must get her album. Poor Dannii Touch Me Like That isn't that bad, its just a tad GENERIC...The release of a new Dannii single almost had me wetting myself in anticipation! the last thing she did that I would call PERFECTION was You Won't Forget About Me...I hope she disappears for a few years & comes back with something FRESH! Earth Intruders really was a TRIUMPH for Bjork that marching band like beat...for me its the best thing shes done since the singles fom her debut...Baby Love by Nicole Scherzinger was a GROWER for me, I thought it was really BLAND intially, it was never gonna be a monster hit...I still want to hear her album Amazon say the 30th June but its had so many release dates I doubt it'll ever get a release, I read that they might recycle some of the songs for the new Pussy Cat Dolls album

    90. Sharam - PATT (Party All The Time)
    89. Fedde Le Grande feat. Ida Corr - Let Me Think About It
    88. Hannah Montana - Nobody's Perfect
    87. Bjork - Declare Independence
    86. Fergie feat. Ludacris - Glamorous
    85. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Catch You
    84. Amerie - Gotta Work
    83. Aly & AJ - Potential Break Up Song
    82. Robyn - Konichiwa Bitches
    81. Mika - Love Today

The male vocals on Let Me Think About It actually reminds Justin Timberlake, Fedde's best song BY FAR to date. LOL - I think 07 was my Disney year the 1st on 2 Montanna RELATED singles...her music is just so catchy you can't help but like it...Declare Independence should've been HUGE I wouldn't be surprised if it even failed to chart...it was just so ANGSTY, you could really hear her ANGER...It certainly made me wanna RAISE MY FLAG! Aly & AJ's last album was compared to Hilary Duff's MAGNIFICENT Dignity album, when in actual fact it WASN'T MUCH COP & this was certainly NO With Love

    80. Måns Zelmerlöw - Work Of Art (Da Vinci)
    79. Danny Saucedo - Play It For The Girls
    78. Gwen Stefani feat. Akon - Sweetest Escape
    77. Kylie Minogue - 2 Hearts
    76. Natalie Imbruglia - Glorious
    75. Darren Hayes - On The Verge Of Something Wonderful
    74. Macey Gray feat. Natalie Cole - Finally Made Me Happy
    73. Bodies Without Organs - Destiny Of Love (The Attic Remix Radio Edit)
    72. Amerie - Take Control
    71. Melanie C - Carolyna

Danny saucedo really is Sweden's answer to Adam Rickett & Play It For The Girls proves my point CAMPY GAY RUBBISH but wonderful at the same time. Maybe I was abit HARSH placing 2 Hearts so low, cos I did really like it but erm I've chopped & changed this so much that this is the position it will remain...I knew it was never gonna make my top 40...I kinda think this was the only song on the album that could LEAD IT...I had been enjoying the Kish Mauve version about a month before hearing this, initially I thought the original was best but Kylie's vocals are so much better. Glorious took YONKS to grow on me *well atleast 3 months* shame it bombed but I can see why it did it was such a disappointment in comparison to the material on her Counting Down The Days album which really was one of my favourite albums of 05...I wasn't really surprised when the PROMISED new album didn't appear in March, Louise promised us one 6 months after her GH & we're still waiting...I think it was a rumour Natalie getting dropped..maybe it would be a GOOD THING if it did happen, she might have a chance of having another successful album. Finally Made Me Happy I really loved n the initial hearing of it but I did get abit bored of it, having listened to it now I do really love the bit that has Natalie Cole OVERSINGING, that bit fills me full of JOY. Poor Amerie I reckon its all OVER for her well for now anyway...Take Control was a song I listened to non-stop in late 06, I've got no idea why it took nearly 6 months to release here...I was baffled by Gotta Works FLOPPING in at #21, I was under the assumption that it was gonna OUT DO Take Control in terms of chart success, cos everybody seemed to love it I personally always preferred Take Control I'd like to see her try but I doubt she'll ever come close to the EXCELLENCE of 1 Thing & the not as good as 1 Thing but better than any of the other singles Touch. Poor Mel C, Carolyna looked like it might have been a SURPRISE HIT for her, I really thought this was gonna turn everything around for her, quite a few people liked it, who normally wouldn't & it got quite abit of airplay & promotion on her part but only managed a #49 chart placing shame really cos despite the fact I've never really listened to her latest album, I do think it deserved to do much better than it did, she really did try with this album & from what I remember it had several good songs on it...Shame I Want Candy COCKED THE WHOLE THING UP...I see its getting a release by EMI in Canada...I'd love to know what PRICK decided to release that single in November cos I really liked it despite not remembering what it was called...Had this been released 1st & that 2nd, things could've been different but who knows

    70. All Saints - Chick Fit
    69. Siobhan Donaghy - So You Say
    68. Kelis feat. Cee-Lo - Lil' Star
    67. Bodies Without Organs - Save My Pride
    66. The Freaks - The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor)
    65. Mutya Buena - Real Girl
    64. Beyonce feat. Shakira - Beautiful Liar
    63. Kelly Clarkson - Never Again
    62. Rihanna feat. Ne-Yo - Hate That I Love You
    61. Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good

I really don't get how this could miss the top 200 after making #11 on downloads with Rocksteady...everyone seemed to love this when it first leaked onto the internet...I don't really know what went wrong for them cos Parlophone had handled the project well but then the album only made #40 & they GAVE UP...I don't really know if it was down to the song for its bombing maybe more that people weren't interested anymore...Shame about them signing to AATW, one of the worst labels ever...having said that they are very loyal to their acts but its just that they are very slow at releasing & promoting stuff see Dannii Minogue for example...Lil Star is another highlight from late 06, probably would've been much higher had it been released in time for last years chart...Kelis really isn't that big of a STAR, I'd love to see how big she'd be if she actually started promoting her music, she's probably a MINOR STAR because of that

    60. Rihanna feat. Jay Z - Umbrella
    59. The Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control
    58. Roisin Murphy - Let Me Know
    57. Mark Ronson - Stop Me
    56. 50 Cent feat. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland - She Wants It (Ayo Technology)
    55. Shayne Ward - If That's Okay With You
    54. Timbaland feat. One Republic - Apologize
    53. Sugababes - About You Now
    52. Freemasons feat. Siedah Garret - Rain Down Love
    51. Nelly Furtado - Say It Right

Poor Roisin Murphy I really did expect a Gwen Stefani styled L.A.M.B success with all the money EMI invested on it, at least the album went top 20, despite Overpowered only making #149 & Let Me Know #28...Let Me Know had the most brilliant video...I don't really GET why they are holding back the COULD BE monster hit Movie Star...I remember hearing things about The Gossip long before this became a hit but they to me seemed like an act that I wouldn't GET...Standing In The Way Of Control just sounded so different to everything else in the charts at that time, shame Listen Up FLOPPED but to me it sounded like a HALF BAKED version of this & LACKED ITS ENERGY...I think they can comeback bigger & better next time after tha Brits performance with Mika. Ayo Technology is probably up there with the best stuff of Justin's latest album & the on 50 song I like besides In Da Club. I hear the laughs...Despite NOT GETTING If That's OK With You for ages it did really grow embarrasingly enough...its just such a catchy early AOB sounding songs & I hope with songs like this & Rihanna that POP is about to have a major comeback, like it did in the late 90's. I may have be a tad generous with Rain Down Love by the Freemasons position but it really was a favourite of the 1st quarter of 07 & listening to it now I can see now again why I liked it with those lovely vocals & unusual for the Freemasons having slightly EDGY production...I never really noticed Say It Right by Nelly Furtado on her album til it started climbing the US charts...it took months after its UK release for me to see what all the fuss was I do really love the beat & Timbaland's HEY'S in the background, there's something very DARK about the song...

    50. Ashley Tisdale - He Said, She Said
    49. Kate Nash - Foundations
    47. Gwen Stefani - 4 In The Morning
    46. Groove Armada - Song 4 Mutya
    45. Stephanie McIntosh - So Do I Say Sorry First
    44. Rihanna - Shut Up & Drive
    43. Robbie Williams feat. Pet Shop Boys - She's Madonna
    42. P!nk - Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)
    41. Jordin Sparks - Tatoo

Kate Nash's Foundation was a real GROWER for me with its cute little piano intro & I really love he way it speeds up for the chorus...never really GOT any of her other songs but yes this will always remind me of last Summer...she's no Lily Allen though. I really thought Song 4 Mutya would've sailed into the top 3 after that awful thing Groove Armada managed to take to #9 earlier in the year & that stuck around for quite awhile, then there was Real Girl which probably was my song of Summer 07 *not that I really wanna remember it* that sample took me back to the early 90's...so both their previous singles had done really well & this was by far better than either of their previous single I wouldn't have been shocked had this even made #1...I think the main problem people had with it was the video it was so boring, they should've put abit of money into the video afterall Groove Armada had just given them a sizeable hit album & single...this limped in at #10 & disappeared quicky, now its completely forgotten. I've never really been a huge fan of Rihanna until this album besides the Tony Moran mix of Unfaithful...for me the songs work better as part on an album, as single songs they all sound abit ORDINARY Shut Up & Drive probably was my favourite of the lot that intro never fails to give me a RUSH...the production overall is wonderful...best played LOUD...Liked Umbrella but still don't get how it got 10 weeks at #1. Its another had it been released in late 06 it probably would've made my top 10 of 06 She's Madonna by Robbie Williams IMO is one of the best things he's done alongside Love Light...It actually has very 80's gayish sound to it but then again I suppose it was produced by the Pet Shop Boys...atleast he sounds like he's singing the song cos most of the time *for me* he could be rhyming of his shopping list & it would make no difference...P!nks last album was really a JOY her BEST album to date...I have some really good memories from it...Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) is actually is a really FEEL GOOD/JAUNTY Pop/Rock song that LIFTS the whole way through, despite the lyrics it always brings a smile to my face...I'm surprised it didn't get released after Who Knew in the US...Jordin Sparks Tatoo took awhile to grow on me, its kind've like a SAD version of Beyonce's Irreplaceable, its got what sounds like a woman crying in the background, similar to Timbaland on Nelly F's Say It Right & its got a trancey/slow music...My description of these things are quite awful but I'm sure most people will GET what I'M SAYING...Shame it couldn't have gone top 10 here #50 wasn't bad seeing as it was download only...I think I might prefer Jordin to Leona...I imagine No Air will be high in my 08 chart

    40. The Attic feat. Therese - The Arrival
    39. Amy Macdonald - Mr Rock & Roll
    38. Gwen Stefani - Early Winter
    37. Bodies Without Organs - Rhythm Drives Me Crazy
    36. Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry
    35. Beverley Knight - No Mans Land
    34. Emma Bunton - All I Need To Know
    33. Sugababes - Change
    32. Jessica Simpson - A Public Affair
    31. Justin Timberlake - Lovestoned...I Think She Knows

I really wish The Attic & Therese had gone to Eurovision rather than that awful Ark song...I really love Therese's performance of The Arrival...there a WHOOSH'S in it that remind me of Cappella's Move On Baby which gives it extra points...Amy McDonald's Mr Rock & Roll brings back good memories from when I went to Cardiff last September...Not the type of song I'd usually like but its all just so JOLLY with that banjo I've got nothing else to add its just BRILL. I was really OBSESSED with Gwen Stefani's Early Winter around the same time as the aforementioned song I think it only really came to my FULL ATTENTION when it was revealed that it was getting an early October release cos I decided to investigate it at that time & I just thought it was perfect for that time of the year...The bit that makes my tummy go all warm & fuzzy is...The suns getting cold its snowing...Shame 4 In The Morning FLOPPED too cos in the middle of last year it was one of my most played songs ABSOLUTLEY GOREGOUS...On listening to The Sweetest Escape *song* it is actually still really good, one of the STANDOUT songs of 07 but it really suffered from OVERPLAY. I'm quite shocked at this flopping in Sweden from the singles released from Bodies Without Organs latest album Rhythm Drives Me Crazy is the only one that lives up to the early 90's Europop sound...Destiny Of Love was created for the Rubbishgai's like myself but only The Attic mix, the original album ballad version is rather DISGUSTINGLY BORING PUKE INDUCING...Initially I was quite shocked at BWO releasing a cover as the lead off single for their new album but their version really is so much better than Alcazar *whom I never really got...perhaps it was cos I was slightly OUT OF THE LOOP in 2005 & probably that I didn't think much of Crying At The Discotech. Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie was another of 07's GROWERS it really did take MONTHS to grow, I dunno why but when I listen to it now I really do think its PERFECTION *well almost* I really did think they'd COCKED UP her album in the UK after the cancelling of Fergalicious...Glomourous turned it all round, her vocals on it to me sound very Roisin Murphy a mixture of disco/R&B it sounds very DISTINCTIVE to me...well done Fergie. I was probably a little too GENEROUS with Beverley Knight's No Mans Land position cos despite my love for it I don't think I listened to it as much as I should have...I know there's much of a chorus but it does give me goosebumps the...You see I can't move o on stumbling around bit...Shame it all went TITS UP really, I don't think this was an UNWISE single like a quite a few people do but I do think it should've been followed up by Black Butta, After You was an ODD choice. Emma Bunton's All I Need To Know is really lovely & kind've unexpected from her...It doesn't sound unlike Will Youngs All Time Love one its writers Co-authoured this...I remember it struck a chord with me in Jan 07 when I was in Edinburgh...Baffled as to why it flopped in at #60, when rubbish like Crickets Sing for Anamaria makes #17. I really like Sugababes Change song & album *probably their best album to date for me* The 1st time I heard it was with the video & it really went so well with the song, really cute...it does lack the edge that most of their songs have but oddly I do notice after you get past the 1st minute it starts using Freak Like Me's beat...I much rathered this to About You Now I wouldn't say I was indifferent to AYN but it was another song that I didn't think deserved to got to #1...I'd say About You Now #4, Change #5 & Denial which has sadly missed the top 10 as well another #5er. Jessica Simpsons A Public Affair should've actually been in my chart of 06 & probably would be ATLEAST 20 places higher...Completely different from everything else she's done, Sparkly pop, no masterpiece but good for what it was & probably would've given her another top 10 had it been released 6 months earlier...I was listening to the parent album awhile back & I really enjoyed it, initially I always thought it was very CALCULATED which was silly cos lets face it Rihanna's music is every bit as CALCULATED & that doesn't put me off her but I guess it just that Jessica had done a semi-mature sounding album & that was really successful & it just looked to me like her people thought...look at what we've achieved with Jessica's newfound fame with this uncomercial sounding album, thinki of what we could achieve with an album featuring all of the most commercial pop writers/producers...Boy was totally wasted & should've been the 2nd single...I'm weary of this Country album she's recording...Justin Timberlake Lovestoned...I Think She Knows this actually has a similar beat harking back to his debut single Like I Love You *which remains my favourite of his songs* this was actually a nice change from all the Electroey sound the previous singles had it was all disco strings & LILY's sharp beat...I do love where it segues into the I Think She knows, that being the best part of the song with the hard sounding guitar & Justin's vocals sounding more soulful on that part than on the rest of the song.

30.Andrea Corr - Shame On You
    29. Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)
    28. Robyn with Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat
    27. Amy Winehouse - Love Is A Losing Game
    26. Ashley Tisdale - Be Good To Me
    25. Hannah Montanna - Best Of Both Worlds
    24. Nicole Scherzinger feat. T.I - Whatever You Like
    23. Lily Allen - Alfie
    22. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Me & My Imagination
    21. Siobhan Donaghy - Don't Give It Up

Poor Andrea Corr she really was next to USELESS as a solo singer, her interviews were really awkward she was just so shy, pity one of the others hadn't decided on a solo career, whatever the stunning one was called would've been my choice to have released a solo album, abit of GLAMOUR...Shame On You was a fantastic song but due to the TRAGIC INTERVIEWS & that awful OFFPUTTING video it only made #108 & even in Ireland it only made #43...The chorus is the best bit Shaaaaaaaaaame On you. Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song) is probably my favourite Enrique Iglesias song it really needs to be played full blast reminds me of early Saturday Summer sunny mornings which wasn't as bad as it sounds...With Every Heartbeat by Robyn is kind've one of those songs that I go through phases of loving but then I get bored of it again...I loved it when I 1st heard it in Dec 06 & I really felt the pain in her vocals but by the time it got released I was kinda OVER IT by Dec 07 I loved it again now I'm kinda in between, really pleased she broke through, as I've loved her since Do You Know (What It Takes). Love Is A Losing Game is probably one of the best things on the Winehouse album, well it was one of the 1st songs to STANDOUT to me...so beautifully sung & that lovely light orchestra kind've sound in the background the reason for its FLOPPAGE I imagine was the success of Valarie probably was the main reason plus the huge album sales of its parent album...You Know I'm No Good was a GROWER for me & it's one that I still find myself singing a year after its release...Back To Black was another of her songs that took time to grow *almost a year after the albums release* its quite funny how when a song randomly pops up on your MP3 Player, having listened to it umpteen times before that it just clicked & gave me goosebumps...Tears Dry On Their Own was pretty instant & I can see why it was one her BIGGER hits its so BRASSY. OMING INTO A CLUTCH of Disney teen popstars...Well I actually think Ashley Tisdale is about 22...this wonderful Mis-teeq Scandolous RIP OFF made the dizzy heights of #198 in the UK...I actually thought she might've done OK Warner seem to treat her as a priority in the US & her album was being sold for like £7 in Woolworths...unusual for a Disney act not to be signed to Hollywood instead she's on Warner Bros...He Said, She Said was really just like Ciara's beat on Goodies speeded up but it really is more POP than Crunk. LOL at me LOVING Hannah Montanna's Best Of Both World...It really is just such an uplifting little tune my stomach always does a dance when it randomly comes on kind've like a teen Shania Twain *That Don't Impress Me Much era*. Nobody's Perfect is another of her better songs an ENERGTIC little tune...you could just imagine her dancing around like something POSESSED to...Nobody's Perfect we all gotta work it haha. I really thought Nicole Scherzinger's Whatever You Like was gonna be a transatlantic top 5, it was such a grower, I wasn't fussed initially & wasn't surprised when it only made #117 in the US...It got loadsa play on my MP3 player towards the end of 07...I really love that backing track, it's so AGGRESSIVE & LOUD, the Nicole version of it actually made me grow to love Kelis' Blindfold Me. Early last year I played Lily Allens Alfie to death by far her best song, the video really makes it, its one of those songs that says in your head & you find yourself singing, its really cute. Most people hated Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Me & My Imagination well I personally LOVED IT but it was very 5 years ago so I wasn't entirely shocked by it only making #23...she really should've gone for If You Go...it really is all about those disco strings & that CHUNKY BEAT...For me it was one of the highlights of her comeback...Catch You was alright for me, I do see why so many people thaought it was AMAZING but for me it LACKED something...Honourable mention for Duel which was the B-side for Today The Suns On Us but it really was the BEST THING to come from the Trip The Light Fantastic era, knocks the socks of the original for me. You really do have to feel for Siobhan Donaghy she's a PRIORITY ACT on 2 major labels i.e London then Parlophone albums missed the top 100 on both...such a shame though cos around the middle of last year Don't Give It Up was a song I repeated constantly best bit really is the chorus & the...We all have the SCARS...Initially I found So You Say abit meh but eventually it did grow its all the ADAM bits which clearly is about someone despite the fact she denys it, when DGIU could only make #45 it really wasn't a SHOCKER when this made #76...I really have to REINVESTIGATE both her albums

    20. Stephanie McIntosh - Mistake

I really think she could've been handled so much better in the UK...I don't know which version I prefer of Mistake the single version or the Dance remix by Jewels & Stone both worked so well, it was just a rubbishy teenpop song that worked very well...her album was abit Kelly Clarkson *big rock/pop choruses & Girls Aloud *with the barmy lyrics & Electroy type songs* So Do I Say Sorry First was the 1st song by her to catch my attention a non-stop rock/pop stomper with a big chorus & barmy lyrics like...so welcome to my nightmare my heaven & my hell *maybe they should've stuck with Tightrope as the 2nd single*

    19. Beyonce - Listen

Had this been released in late 06 it would probably have made my top 3, I loved it THAT MUCH...very early Whitney, I was quite shocked when it only made #16, I had it down as a possible #1, a definite #2...I really think that this was her best vocal perfomance...I think Beautiful Liar isn't really liked that much but I have always really like both the Freemasons & original versions...I do like Beyonce & Shakira's vocals together...Beyonceeeee Beyonce Shakiraaaaa Shakira...Greenlight was just alright in its original form but the Freemasons again really LIFTED it...

    18. Jennifer Lopez - Do It Well

Hmmmm...this is an odd one cos I played it loads & loved it but she really did just take a step back pre the Ja Rule/Murder Inc mixes...So again it wasn't really a SHOCKER when it UNDERPERFORMED along with its parent album...it'll be interesting to see if she can turn it all around cos I don't really see where she can go from here...IMO her last 2 albums featured some of her BEST songs to date, only time will tell....my favourite part of the song is the...Do it do it you do it do it you're doing it well bit but I'm maybe think Hold It Don't Drop It would've been a better LEADING single...Oops I hadn't realised it only made #72 in the UK, I still think it would've done better than Do It Well had it been released 1st

    17. Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend

    16. JoJo - Too Little Too Late

Again its another that I should've charted in my 06 chart but didn't silly enough as I knew it was gonna recieve a UK release in 07 plus I'd only really discovered it in Dec 06 but yes had I charted it then it would've definitley made my top 10 of 06...It reminds me of when I was trying to get back from hom after Christmas in 07...I was stuck in the airport for over 16 hours due to bad weather & I played this on repeat...its all about that near the end where it goes slows then she squeals out...YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH & so on

    15. Måns Zelmerlöw – Cara Mia

I think this one suffered from OVERPLAY...I think his Youtube Melodifestivalen performance must be one of my most watched vids watched on Youtube...That PERFORMANCE its normally only females who's performance of songs I like but his was MAGNIFICENT, it probably helps that he's gorgeous too *if not my type* I can't really single out the best bit of the song, cos it really is all pretty ACE...Another GEM from him was Work Of Art (Da Vinci) which could've been lifted for Take That's Everything Changes album.

    14. Girls Aloud - Call The Shots

This was a nice surprise from them after the DISAPPOINTMENT that was Sexy (No No No) which was just a cheap attempt to recreate Something kinda Ooh but in saying that it does work as an album track & that intro was always ACE plus I do love the way it LIFTS the whole way through like SKO but there is something MISSING & really was SILLY as a lead single...Anyway back to the song at hand I was kinda shocked by this cos like the Sugababes they stared off quite EDGY but on their latest albums they CHEESED UP abit, not that I'm complaining as both their latest albums are my favourite by them by far...Call The Shots is something that I could imagine Steps singing if they were still around now a FAR CRY from Sound Of The Underground, a dance/pop song with a nice 80's feel to it...There's something very vulnerable & lovely about the vocals on this part...I won't cry for all in my heart no I won't cry cos I've stumbled through this far

    13. Hilary Duff - Stranger

    12. Take That - Rule The World

I didn't really GOT the love for this at the start but I never really do, with most songs it takes a few listens to get into them...I really loved Patience but I think I might actually prefer THIS to that now...The height of my love for it was when seeing Stardust at the Cinema, I may have even had a small tear in my eyes but then again I may have been abit FRAGILE at that time

    11. Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson & Francisco - The Way I Are

This really is more POP than the Hip-Hoppy kinda sound you expect from Timbaland which was kind've a SHOCK because for a change he released a song with a CATCHY CHORUS not that his songs aren't catchy but this was moreso than the others...All their vocals fit together perfectly...sorry for repeating myself but it is just another uplifting song...Another shock was Apologize which basically is a One Republic song given a slight remix by Timbaland...the only reason he gets a credit is just to raise the profile of the band/song...kinda odd considering Ryan Tedder had become a writer/producer for Hilary Duff's Gypsy Woman, Jennifer Lopez's Do It Well, Leona's Bleeding Love hmmm...but yes I suppose having the Timbaland name on the song probably just raised the profile of the band...Very 80's sounding ballad again it was a grower for me...I did like the Nelly F & Justin T featured Give It To Me briefly, reminds me a tiny bit of Promiscuos Girl which I was never really fussed, favourite bit is...You see us in the club acting real nice...bit of a disappointment considering both the artists were his PRIORITY PROTEGEES & when you consider the songs he's given them

    10. Spice Girls - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)

I was abit DISAPPOINTED with this like MOST of the population but I did grow to love it & it did bcome one of my ongs of Winter 07...maybe due to the fact that they were BACK *which is strange as I was more of an Eternal man myself* plus it got me all NOSTALGIC hearing Goodbye an all again...The song itself I can see why people don't like it, as it is slightly dated & what an odd beat but oddly it did CLICK with me in a big way...Again I can't pick a favourite bit although I do love Emma's part at the start...The time is now or never to fit the missing piece

    9. Mika - Grace Kelly

For me this is probably the best thing on his album which suffered from OVERPLAY, this & Love Today were my big favourites from it initially *the former suffering from overplay moreso than the latter...which explains its lower position* He himself is abit of an IRRITANT but I do think his falsetto's & the overall BONKERSNESS of the song is what I find most appealing about the song & it never fails to make me smile...It'll be interesting to see what the next album will be like

    8. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

Its very Celine Dion's Where Does My Heart Beat Now with the beat nicked from Real Emotion...It does have an early 90's feel to it...I do think its gonna be a CLASSIC despite there being times that I feel INDIFFERENT to it but I do think its really standing the TEST OF TIME despite the fact I've only had it a little over 6 months...I heard the original by Jesse McCartney recently & it was APPALLING, congrats to Leona for turning that MONSTROSITY around...The best bit is probably the beginning for me...Closed up from love & that organ playing then the way it speeds up

    7. Celine Dion - Taking Chances

To begin with I thought it was a SNOREFEST! It took time but did grow I'm somewhat surprised by its lack of success, it should've been a TRANSATLANTIC top 10er afterall this was her 1st PROPER single in almost 5 years & the song itself did sound very NOW...the production is similar to Take That's Patience, I was gonna say that, that was probably down to John Shanks producing them both but I discovered that the original version by Platinum Weird had nothing to do with him & was recorded in 04...the only real difference was the vocals...Probably in my Celine top 10...shame its gonna end up being forgotten...I was kinda hoping that Alone could turn it all around but that's going for a digital release next week *well says Wiki* they can't even be bothered to shoot PROPER videos for any of the songs, besides Taking Chances & the album has been reduced to about £5 since about a month after its release. SHAME

    6. Kelly Clarkson - Sober

I don't really get why Clive Davis threw his toys out of his pram cos she wouldn't record a song from Lindsay Lohan's flop album how STUPID Never Again despite not being the most amazing song did go top 10 & I did love her angsty vocals on it...I think I might actually prefer My December to Breakaway the album...Had he kept his mouth SHUT Sober could've been a HUGE as Bleeding Love...I'd say its the most GORGEOUS song Kelly has recorded , shame its gonna be WASTED now...They should've went AHEAD with the UK release it could've been an Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya Ya) situation...the whole song is BEAUTIFUL but the best is towards the end where she uses her FULL VOCALS. BEAUTIFUL...I hear she's working with Ryan Tedder on a new Garbage sounding album...he really is abit of a GENIUS...the way he constantly shifts from one style to another

    5. Britney Spears - Gimme More

One of the pop songs of the year...despite the fact she'd been sadly in the GUTTER long before its release...I'm still baffled as to how she was fit to record this let alone get herself onstage at the EMA's...The more her life turned into a TRAINWRECK the more people loved her, it really was quite odd...I did find her more endearing myself but wished she'd get HELP...Cos this was sitting at #3 in the US charts & her children were being taken from her...this whole project really has been Jive Records featuring Britney Spears...I recall a press release about the album saying how they *Jive* had worked very hard to find the best songwriters & how they wanted it to be a FUN album, I just laughed at them not even trying to PRETEND how MINIMAL Britney's Participation on the album was anyway that EMA's performance is another performance on Youtube that got millions of viewing from me totally ICONIC...Ido love that talking intro, pity that hadn't been on the single version...The song itself produced by Danja *surprisingly enough a Timbaland protogee* knows how to come up with with the VOCODERED POP GEMS like this & now Mariah's Migrate...I don't think I'll ever tire of Gimme More...Camera's are flashing while we're dirty dancing...I really hope now she's back with her original manager & seemingly looks like she's got herself TOGETHER, that she can stay that way now

    4. Avril Lavigne - Hot

I did LOL at Girlfriend I thought it was abit of a CARCRASH initially but it did grow & I would say it was one of my favourite songs from mid 07 & the video was just AMAZING...It was quite a shock going from someone who thought they were this really SERIOUS ARTIST, to a Britney Spears type blonde singer but then again it shouldn't have been unexpected, cos I remember about a year before seeing the wedding pics & thinking...she could no longer can be that ANGSTY CHARACTER that she portrayed on her 1st 2 albums...I find it quite amazing how it all worked out, cos lets face it people could've looked at it as SELLING OUT...When You're Gone I found abit BLAND until a few months ago it clicked but the real CORKER for me was Hot, shame it underperformed...to me that chorus is just GLORIOUS

    3. Delta Goodrem - Believe Again

    2. Hilary Duff - With Love

It really was neck & neck for my #1 spot...2007 really was the year of Hilary Duff for me...with her GAY MARKET AIMED album bless her...It was the 1st song of 07 *quite possibly in a long time even before 07* that actually set my heart RACING everytime it comes on...I do really love the video kind've in a Kylie Better The Devil You Know TRANSFORMATION from FRUMPY TEEN to GLAMOURPUSS...Not that Hils was ever the fashion DISASTER that Kylie was but yes the spraying of her perfume on her neck *which this song was named after* was one of the best bits plus the trail of clothes she left behind til she got to the lift & eventually met up with her lover...who really wasn't ALL THAT...Stranger was basically a continuation onto the With Love video basically its about her lover being her LOVER when everyone's around but when they are alone he ignores her & isn't a Stranger...LOL Hilary's songs are getting DEEPER - Sadly Stranger made #196 in the UK, I think they were planning on using the WaWa mix *which was BRILL I did love both versions though the song did take time to grow* as the single version in the UK but it kept being put back & I don't think EMI promoted it as well as they could have when it failed to make the 100 in the US...Surprisingly With Love which I thought was gonna go top 10 only made #29 but the album still became her highest charting at #25...Such a shame her album didn't perform as well as it should've I'd love to have seen videos for the P!nk Co-authored Outside Of You & the wonderful Gypsy Woman which I always thought was written about Nicole Richie but it was oddly written about the woman who broke up her & mum & dads marriage...She actually wishes Nicole Richie all the the best LOL

    1. Delta Goodrem - In This Life

Another of those songs that I was WETTING MYSELF about hearing & when the time came I must've listened to it about 30 times in a row...the video is another that I've Youtubed ALOT...Very simple but she gets to move about on a chair wearing less than she used to, its all about the HEELS at the beginning & of course THE SHAKING ABOUT OF THE HAIR...The song itself was written with Brian McBLOODYFadden & Stuart Crichton who's famous for his alias Narcotic Thrust & for cowriting Jamelia's Beware Of The Dog & songs by Sugababes etc, it was produced by John Shanks who produced Take That's Patience & you can hear that he recycle that beat only speeded up for this...Over 7 months on & its still a JOY...It never fails to LIFT ME UP...same with the follow up Believe Again *which I very nearly didn't chart & it probably would've ended up in a similar way that JoJo's Too Little Too Late i.e missing my top 10 * with its even more FAB OTT video...showing over her beautifully toned body *despite the fact it does nothing for me* but it is lovely to look at, with her ICONIC stretching about & the bit where the black bits of material & are hanging from her & blowing in the wind...the song itself has very POSITIVE lyrics & they helped BRING ME UP at that time when I was abit down...Have you stared into the rain, thought the clouds would never disappear, have you ever screamed into the dark thought that no-one else could hear, I was leaving footprints tainted by my past on this winding road to you...That may sound abit sickening to some people but I do love it...I'll always associate it with Christmas now I think...Shame SONYBMG COCKED the whole project up in Europe...I still ANTICIPATE the parent albums release but I'm not holding my breath after You Will Only Break My Heart's semi-flopping...Believe Again & In This Life are probably both in my Delta top 5 but I was abit LET DOWN by You Will Only Break My Heart, cos I personally thought that Take Me Home was BRILL & when that's left as a b-side then there must be loadsa CORKERS on the album...it has grown on me MUCHLY over the last few days but I highly doubt it'll make my top 10 of 08

There are quite a few songs I'd like to have place HIGHER but then again that would put others lower I spent enough time on it! Yay I've COMPLETED IT

what is it with the world of digital music that it has all to offer but the song that i have been most looking for. now, i am not impressed.

"keeping a light" on natalie cole's album THANKFUL is that one important piece of music that seems to have escaped conversion into mp3 format. in any case, it is nowhere to be found...? please tell me that i am wrong!

should anyone come across it, please upload it here and let me know about it. i would be most thankful!

it is a fine, fine song...

  • Nat King Cole - At The Sands

    Fev 22 2008, 0h33 por baixocontinuo

"He sings with that wisdom that everything is going to be alright. He just had that sound that gives you comfort and reassurance that life would be alright." - Carlos Santana

"...he just personified everything that was good and cool. ...he was cool before it was cool to be cool. - Isaac Hayes

A primeira faixa começa com a apresentação: "Ladies and Getlemen, the Sands Hotel takes the pleasure in presenting - MR NAT KING COLE!", e desde o primeiro segundo fui levado por aquela sensação causada por poucas bandas contemporâneas - "Ver um show deste cara deve ser bom demais!"
