1. How did you get into 29? (Don Dokken)
Well, I've been into Dokken for like, forever. So it was just a matter of time before I checked out his solo stuff. Usually, I don't really dig the solocareers of singers from bands I love. (The only exception being U.D.O.), but this really hit med hard. Living a Lie is my alltime favorite tune now.

Eighter Burnout or Fast Forward Rock N' Roll, but I'm not quite sure.

Even though I'm starting to get abit tired of them after all these years, I can't deny the fact that I light up abit every time I hear a song from Rest in Sleaze. A couple of the songs off of The Unattractive Revolution also. Oh, the memories I have with that band. They will always have a special place in my heart.

Oh, I don't think I have a favourite Aerosmith album to be perfectly honest. They have amazing songs on every single one, but I don't have a record I like better than the other ones.

Don't Walk Away. Just because that song has ment SO much to me... There's no song in the history of man that has made me cry that hard.

Reminds me of the good ol' days when Sleaze Nights used to be at Club Maiden, Nancy still were a part of the Sleaze Rock Pistoleros. and we were about 10 people there. Off course, I think it's awesome for them that they've gotten a better (and bigger) club to play at, and that there's now like 80/90 people there on good days.. But I kinda miss the old days when there wasn't that many of us. Dancin to Sex Party on the barstooles with Stony will always be one of my favorite things!

Omg. That's a tuff one. Both Skid Row and Slave to the Grind are flawless albums. So I'll just go with my most played songs from each album. Sweet Little Sister and Livin' on a Chain Gang.

I was visiting some friends in Sweden, and they put on the Ravenous album. The opening tune being Speed On. I fell in love after ten seconds, and could'nt BELIEVE I'd missed this band for such a long time.

Life Goes On. Kinda tired of this band also, actually.

Drunk Like Me. Actually a "bad" song to start with because it's very different from all their other stuff, but luckily for me I was one of those people who just started loving them even more when listening to the rest of their songs. Drunk Like Me is now one of my least favorite songs by them, and I REALLY loved it the first time I heard it.

Di., 1. Dez. – Motörhead, Black Stone Cherry, Der W

Nachdem in den letzten Wochen bei mir Motörhead-Festwochen herrschen (was man unschwer an meinen Lastfm-Charts erkennen kann), war es am 1.12.2009 endlich soweit: Motörhead spielten in Köln. Nachdem der Enttäuschung auf dem Devilside-Festival, wo ich Motörhead nur 20 Minuten genießen konnte, weil ich meine Bahn erwischen musste, war ich froh, dass Motörhead nochmal in die Nähe kommen. Diesmal nach Köln ins Palladium. Da machte auch nichts, dass ich eigentlich eine Vorlesung gehabt hätte. Also schwänzte ich die Vorlesung und fuhr nach Köln (daher auch der Untertitel "Motörhead statt Marx"). Dort machte ich mich auf zur Veranstaltunghalle. Gegen 17:40 Uhr war ich dort angekommen und reihte mich in die lange Schlange ein. Nachdem ich diese passiert habe, und endgültig in der Veranstaltungslocation angekommen bin, suchte ich mir einen Platz ganz vorne.
Pünktlich um 19:00 Uhr begann die Vorband Black Stone Cherry zu spielen. Diese sollten, zumindest laut ihrer Band-Bio, "Southern Hard Rock" spielen. Ich konnte aber nur den hard rock in ihrem Spiel erkennen. Als Highlight kann eine Passage des Drummers John Fred Young bezeichnet werden, in der mit seinen Drumsticks auf dem Bass spielte. Ansonsten war das ein eher unspektakulärer Auftritt.
Nun kam der Auftritt auf den viele gewartet haben: Der W. Stephan Weidner, wie er bürgerlich heißt, war nun an der Reihe, seine Musik zum Besten zu geben. Viele der anwesenden Musikfans sind vor allem seinetwegen gekommen. Ich selbst habe mir vor einigen Wochen das Album Schneller, Höher, Weidner vom ehemaligen Böhsen Onkel angehört und fand das etwas Mau. Es reicht nicht an die Qualitäten der Onkelz heran. So habe ich gehofft, dass der Auftritt von ihm besser sein würde. Leider wurde diese Hoffnung auch nicht erfüllt. Da auch seine Musik auch nicht ins Umfeld von Motörhead passte, fand ich den Auftritt von Herrn Weidner nicht überragend. Er spielte für ein Metal-Konzert zu seichte Musik. Trotz alledem wurde er, vor allem von denen, die seinetwegen gekommen sind, Stephan-Weidner-Rufen hofiert.
Nach einer weiteren Umbaupause war es soweit. Der Meister Ian Fraser Kilmister, genannt Lemmy, hatte mit seinen Bandkollegen Philip "Wizzo" Campbell und dem Schlagzeuger Mikkey Dee seinen Auftritt. Höflich, wie Lemmy nunmal ist, trat er auf die Bühne und grüßte die Fans mit den Worten "Guten Abend, we're Motörhead" und dann legten die Drei mit Iron Fist los. Das ging von Metropolis über Rock Out bis hin zu Going to Brazil. Es war ein buntes Potpourri an Motörhead-Hits. Mit Ace Of Spades und Overkill beendeten Lemmy und seine Mannen das Konzert. Auch wenn man meinen mag, Motörhead sei immer das Gleiche und wenig spektakulär, dem ist nicht so, da diese Musik einfach Spaß macht und nie langweilig wird. Auch das Gefühl der Musik am ganzen machen ein Konzert von Motörhead zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.
