MegaRex is a Brazilian band that mixes Rock, Pop with a twist of electronic music, Brazilian music and humorous lyrics.
The Brazilian band MegaRex played and competed in the largest festivals and most acclaimed songwriting contests in Brazil, and is now releasing a new album recorded in English, named Recyclable Data.
The music videos for their first album (recorded in Portuguese) were broadcasted at MTV Brazil and have reached more than 70000 views in Youtube.
During live concerts the band interacts with animated characters and films which are projected on a large screen on top of the stage. The most curious act is the “virtual duel”, in which the drummer duels with his own virtual character on the screen, being the opening for “Cucumbers Don’t Cry” , one of the most humored lyrics of the first album.
