i personally see this as a sarcastic, parody of the fools in society. its not dave's perosnal beliefs, its his idea of what's going on in other people's mind's.. but believe what you like. people buy liberty and justice evreyday. just seems peace costs more money than it makes, while violence, hatred and war make $$$..

@ klau: i think the verses are refering to Mustaine's own inability to mesh with society. he's mocking the Lennonist notion of universal peace, as is made clear by the chorus. The chorus primarily reduces peace to a commodity, as is contrastly seen in the military industrial complex, where war literally sells and stimulates an economy. the verses are more introspective. It sounds like he's adding in parts of his life where he doesn't particularly get along with society. Most of his comments are sarcastic, which shows his cynical view of the world of "brotherly love"
