Maylene and the Sons of Disaster é uma banda cristã de Southern Rock/Metal dos Estados Unidos formada em 2004 em Birmingham, Alabama.
Dallas Taylor é o membro mais famoso do grupo, conhecido anteriormente como o vocalista original da banda Underoath, mas saiu da banda no final de 2003.

Dallas fundou e trabalhou com o Underoath em seus três primeiros albums. Tambem trabalhando com The New Tragic. Há boatos que Dallas saiu devido a sua agenda ocupada com sua principal banda, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Ele disse recentemente em uma entrevista no Youtube q nunca se considerou parte do The New Tragic ajudou escrever algumas linhas vocais e apareceu no vídeo, mas não esteve interessado em qualquer coisa mais.

But, Maylenes s/t and II are better than all of the other stuff of ETID, in my opinion.

I love both bands (Maylene and ETID), but honestly, I think NJA is better than III, overall, you can't get tired of the album, from the first to the last song.

ETID is really good, but so far, I think maylene has a better discography. I really don't like ETID's earlier stuff. The big dirty is where ETID got badass. But i still wouldn't put them ahead of maylene. But honestly, i still have to give new junk aesthetic a few more listens

I like Maylene but honestly ETID is much better IMO. Maylene seems to force the whole southern sound and it makes it overdone, but ETID does it much more naturally.
